P - Permanent make-up
Permanent makeup (from Latin permanens "permanent"). Synonyms: tattoo, micropigmentation, dermopigmentation, contour makeup.
From a medical point of view, permanent makeup is the penetration (introduction) of a special pigment (dye) into the upper layers of the dermis with a needle.
From the point of view of the consumer of this service, permanent makeup is an opportunity to emphasize, highlight, correct, improve some facial features or imitate ordinary makeup and look good under any circumstances, with minimal effort and time.
With the help of permanent makeup, it is possible to improve the shape of eyebrows, lips, eyelids, create a color correction of the face oval, imitate blush on the cheeks, lighten dark circles under the eyes and much more. Also, the permanent makeup technique is used to correct postoperative scars , camouflage burns, reconstructive plastic surgery, camouflage vitiligo, create a pattern in the area of alopecia of the eyebrows or other areas on the face and head. Usually the puncture depth is 0.3-0.5 mm.
To date, there are two main methods of applying permanent makeup:
1) Hardware tattooing - is performed using a special apparatus in which a needle (or needles of various configurations) is driven by an electric motor.
This type of permanent makeup is the safest method of eyebrow correction and is performed using the following basic techniques:
- Powder coating (use of one color, smooth transition from the end of the eyebrow to the beginning).
- Watercolor (use of several colors in the work).
- Hair technique (can be combined with various technologies).
- Spraying (pigment shading, translucency effect).
2) Manual tattooing (from the English microblading) - is performed with a needle (or needles of various configurations), fixed in a special handle-holder - a maniple, set in motion by a specialist's hand, by drawing each hair.
- Hair application technique (microblading)
- Shadow technique (microshading)
The hair technique of tattoo application is the most natural type of tattoo, as the master controls the color, slope and thickness of the traced hair, due to which the effect of absolute identity of the natural eyebrow is achieved. Due to the specific features of the skin, this technique requires maximum concentration from the master, since the type of skin depends on how deeply the pigment needs to penetrate and how the tattoo should be taken care of.
Post-procedure care is a very important part, so you need to take care of the tattoo very carefully after the procedure.
It is worth paying special attention to the fact that the primary tattoo procedure implies a subsequent correction to achieve the desired result. Even the most professional and experienced tattoo artist cannot say with absolute certainty how the client's body will react to the coloring pigment that was injected under the skin during the procedure.
Correction is carried out one month after the initial application of permanent makeup, since only 50% of women show the desired brightness of the pigment. Over the years, permanent makeup fades, so you can’t do without updating it if you want to maintain the beauty and well-groomed appearance. If you are doing lip, eyebrow or eyelid correction for the first time, then count on the fact that in a year or two you will need to contact the master again for an update (refresh).
