Arrow in permanent makeup: an unfading classic
Recommendations of professionals for permanent makeup masters
Taking into account the peculiarities of the eyes, permanent makeup masters distinguish several of the most common forms of arrows. Consider eyelid tattooing - from its classic look to modern options
Drawing arrows on the eyes, women try to emphasize the shape of the eyes, to give more expressiveness to the look. Eyelid tattooing, in addition, helps to hide shallow mimic wrinkles or small aesthetic defects in the form of scars, pigmentation.
The arrows on the eyelids are suitable for absolutely any type of woman - the main thing is that the PM master knows how to “read” faces, knows all the tricks of creating a sketch and skillfully manipulates the shapes of the arrows to achieve the desired result. The shape of the arrow can be of any thickness and length. The arrow may end at the edge of the eye or exit with a tail with a different slope. Each type of arrow solves its own problems and helps to get rid of different problems.
So, for example, the classic arrow perfectly emphasizes the almond-shaped eyes. In other cases, it helps to slightly correct the shape of the eye, lengthen it or make the eyes more round. It is recommended to make an arrow of medium width, with a thickening in the bend zone (direction ⎼ from the middle to the outer corner of the eye). The main task of the master when creating a classic arrow is to repeat the correct natural bend of the eyelid, slightly stretching the outer corner of the eye.
A thin line visually stretches the line of the eyelid, ideal for small, roundish, almond-shaped and deep-set eyes. The task is to delicately emphasize the correct line of the eyes, slightly lengthen the line of the eyelid, without giving a strong accent to the eyes. A thin arrow does little to emphasize a slit-like eye and is categorically not suitable for a large bulging eye.
Working with round and bulging eyes, the task of the master is to make the line of the eyelid more straight. It is recommended to make the arrow in the bend zone much wider than in the zone of inter-eyelash filling and not extend the length of the inner line of the arrow to the very corner, so as not to further emphasize the excessive roundness of the eyes. For rounded, bulging eyes, it is ideal to paint over 1/2 of the thickness of the inner line of the upper eyelid (under the lash line). If the line is very massive, paint over almost its entire thickness. This is a very good way to get rid of the rounded eyelid line.
The arrow on the lowered eyelid is designed to visually raise the eye. You need to make the bottom line of the bend zone angular, and the side line of the tip of the arrow ⎼ as even as possible to create a visible rise. Ideally, combine the arrow with shading.
An arrow with shading on the outer corner of the eye is suitable for small, close-set, narrow eyes, as well as for lowering the outer corner of the eye (“crying” eye). The master needs to raise the outer corner of the eyes, enlarge the eyes. An arrow with shading along the entire length of the eyelid is recommended for large eyes in order to visually reduce their bulge. This type of arrow allows you to make the line of the eyelid more noticeable, darken the volume of the eye, make the line of the arrow softer. Also suitable for wide-set eyes.
Basic Rules
There are several rules for sketching arrows that are important for craftsmen to remember:
• with close-set eyes, it is not recommended to bring the line of the zone of inter-ciliary filling to the inner corner of the eye;
• with far-set eyes, it is contraindicated to make elongated arrows, shading in the outer corner of the eye. The choice of the master in this case is a short arrow with shading along the entire length and with an emphasis on the line of inter-ciliary filling to the inner corner of the eye;
• with deep-set eyes, a neat arrow with a slight shading is allowed. Large shadows are best not to use;
• a short feathered arrow, without elongation at the outer corner of the eyelid, will make bulging eyes visually smaller. In order not to visually make the eye very round, it is not recommended to emphasize the lower line of the eyelid;
• in order to slightly stretch the round eye, it is necessary to slightly thicken the arrow, starting from the middle of the eye to the outer corner. You should not make the arrow in this zone very thick, it is better to limit yourself to an arrow of medium thickness and supplement it with a little shading;
• thin elongated arrows are not suitable for lowered fixed eyelids, as this will visually increase the volume of the impending eyelid. In this case, a short thin arrow will be ideally combined with shading;
• in the case of a heavy eyelid (not to be confused with an impending one!) you can slightly lengthen the arrow and add shading with a slight emphasis on the middle of the eye;
• an arrow that starts from the middle of the eye is able to lift the eyes with lowered outer corners. It is important to avoid focusing on the inside of the eyes, so as not to add height in the inter-eyelash filling area;
• eyes with raised outer corners will be decorated with a thin straight arrow without an elongated end, so as not to make the outer corner of the eyes even more raised.
