Algae in cosmetology

A universal ingredient in face and body care

Algae are one of the oldest life forms on Earth and a powerful source of biologically active substances. During evolution, they have developed the ability to synthesize pigments, polysaccharides, minerals, and antioxidants that ensure survival in the aggressive environment of aquatic ecosystems.

It is these bioactive complexes that have led to the widespread use of algae in cosmetology - to restore the skin's barrier functions, reduce inflammation and protect against oxidative stress.

The main roles of algae in cosmetology

Moisturization and barrier restoration

Alginates, carrageenans and other polysaccharides form a protective film on the skin surface, reduce transepidermal moisture loss and support barrier functions.

Anti-inflammatory and soothing action

Sulfated polysaccharides, trace elements (zinc, magnesium, sulfur) and some bioactive compounds reduce inflammation, inhibit the growth of pathogenic microflora and promote healing.

Antioxidant protection and anti-age

Carotenoids (astaxanthin, zeaxanthin), vitamins A, C, E and omega-fatty acids protect cells from oxidative stress, support the synthesis of collagen and elastin.
