Improvised means of the master: consumables for tattooing
What accessories will a tattoo and microblading master need?
The beauty industry is constantly evolving, but at the same time, each master chooses the means at hand - what is more convenient to work with, and what is not even worth buying. We remind you about "magic wands" for permanent makeup
Even a novice master or a person in the process of learning has time to feel: the market today allows you to buy anything! And what about masters with long experience? And, despite this abundance, new products appear every day, it becomes easier to buy a tattoo machine, and even more so consumables and accessories.
What accessories do you want to remember?
For convenience, all consumables should be divided into disposable, which are disposed of after each client, and reusable - continuing to serve the master for some time.
Disposable consumables and accessories
Double layer wipes. They are used to protect the client's clothing and surrounding equipment, and, in fact, wherever it is necessary to prevent the flow of liquid. The beauty of these wipes is in the top absorbent layer and the bottom waterproof polyethylene layer, which will not allow excess moisture to leak.
Masks and hats. Absolutely simple and well-known consumables are used actively both by masters (for themselves) and for the client. Hanging hair, even tied in a ponytail, regrowing bangs and "fluff" can prevent the master from doing his job efficiently, why complications?
Caps for paints. Known to everyone, but at the same time they have a lot of varieties, which you should also pay attention to! With a flat base, silicone, in the form of a finger ring, with a division in the middle - there are a lot of them, you need to find your own.
Brushes. These are such small sticks with a tiny cotton tip. Few people know, but brushes stand guard over your income, keeping the budget. The thing is that most often they are used to apply an anesthetic and, due to their structure, they do not absorb an excessive amount of funds. At a time when, when using alternative options (the same familiar cotton buds), two or three times, or even more anesthetic is absorbed into the stick itself, which can no longer be used. Simply put, brushes use the minimum required amount of anesthetic, which can significantly save its consumption.
Modules and needles. Consumables for devices, in particular, needles and modules, are positioned as disposable instruments. The impossibility of reusing the modules is due to the limited resource of the return mechanism, the duration of which is no more than seven to eight hours.
Sharpening, as well as sterilization of needles, is also not provided for by their design. In favor of this aspect, the following facts can be cited:
- cleaning needles can be dangerous for the master, for example, there is a risk of contracting a number of infectious diseases;
- re-sharpening of needles after sterilization is not possible at home. Tools that have undergone such processing are unsuitable for further use.
- Sterilization procedures carried out through the use of high temperatures or chemicals lead to deterioration of the metal from which the needles are made.
As a rule, the cost of needles is initially included in the total price of the procedure. That is, the master is obliged to provide the client with complete safety, using sterile disposable instruments.
Reusable accessories
Containers for disposal of needles. How much easier everything becomes with their appearance! You do not need to do a lot of unnecessary manipulations, worry about finding needles and their aesthetic appearance. It is especially important when the day is full of procedures and the time for cleaning and preparation is minimal. We refer these containers to reusable ones only because they are enough for more than one procedure - after filling the container must be completely disposed of!
Training skin . Great place to hone your skills! Before trying out a new technology, needle or machine on a client, you can and should try it first on training skin. Different formats and textures allow you to choose either a universal option or with volumetric zones (eyes, eyebrows, lips).
Mixer for paint. A must have for a master, definitely. There is no universal pigment, and sooner or later you will have to mix pigments to achieve the desired shade. So it is the mixer that will do it in a matter of seconds, qualitatively, evenly and without unnecessary paint costs.
Stands for the typewriter and caps. This is the case when it is not only about convenience, but also about safety. Equipment safety. An incorrectly positioned (even for a few minutes) tattoo machine can fall and never turn on again, sometimes even expensive models only need one fall. Another outcome - pigment flowing into the motor - is possible if the master does not want to put the maniple, and, for example, accidentally turns it over. Therefore, a properly chosen stand frees your head from various “what if ..”.
Pigments can also be attributed to the number of consumables for tattooing. However, this integral element of the master's work is a priori one-time. But it should be remembered that paints also have expiration dates, after which the material cannot be used.
Pros and cons of disposable and reusable consumables
The difference between disposable and reusable instruments is quite significant. In this case, various aspects can be cited, including the safety of the master and the client, economic benefits, ease of use. When choosing between the two options, it is important to consider the following aspects:
- reusable tools are much more expensive than disposable consumables. However, in the future, their purchase will significantly save.
- customizability. One of the most important selection criteria. Setting up disposable instruments is extremely difficult, which cannot be said about reusable ones. As part of the second option, you can combine elements in accordance with the characteristics of the work performed, which is very convenient.
Consumables designed for single and multiple use ensure the safety and sterility of the procedure. It is important to be able to navigate the variety of a wide range of tools, to make a choice in favor of economical options, without sacrificing a quality indicator.
