In choosing tools for a beginner in permanent makeup, courses or the school in which he was trained can help. This is quite natural, because it is difficult for a beginner to decide on what equipment to buy and how to set it up.

To successfully start a career, a PM master needs : a machine for permanent makeup, several lines of pigments (for tattooing eyebrows, lips, eyelids), at least 10 needles of various shapes for procedures. Also, a beginner cannot do without markers, tattoo rulers for drawing shapes, pencils, rugs, templates, gloves and other consumables.

Very often, beginners have many problems with the choice of a machine. Lack of experience and skills make it impossible to feel the depth of penetration of the needle into the skin. Ignorance of the characteristics of each needle of a different module, the inability to clearly determine the depth of pigment immersion into the skin only aggravates the situation. As a result, this can lead to unintentional injury to the client, up to tissue scarring.

In choosing tools for a beginner in permanent makeup, courses or the school in which he was trained can help. This is quite natural, because it is difficult for a beginner to decide on what equipment to buy and how to set it up.

Of course, all the difficulties of the initial stage of the permanent master's work can be alleviated with high-quality modern equipment. Today, the market provides a wide range of permanent makeup devices, while the master should not be trusted solely by the cost. After all, a large part of achieving a successful result depends on your experience.

The right choice of equipment

Permanent makeup machines have two main systems:

  • nozzle needle . In devices with the “needle-nozzle” principle, the needle is first inserted separately, then the tip. Such a system is practical with proper sanitary standards, it is less expensive than modular systems, which we will discuss later, but it does not always look presentable in the eyes of the client, and is not always convenient to implement.
  • modular system . It is a needle and a tip "in one bottle". The system is assembled in such a way that paint does not get into the module: there is a membrane and a spring mechanism that allows the needle to move, and the membrane protects against the ingress of any biological fluids into the modular system and into the device itself. Cartridges for such systems, according to the rules, must be sterile packed so that there is no direct contact with the needle when opened. After the cartridge is screwed into the maniple, you can start working.

Whichever option you like, pay attention to vibration, noise, handle weight and thickness. You should feel the device with your whole hand, feel its “behavior” by vibration and sounds.

First, the master needs to decide which main machine will be used in the work. Masters with extensive experience usually have several of them, because the devices can be different in power and softness.

However, for novice craftsmen, the issue of saving (within reasonable limits) is often a decisive factor, so first choose one machine individually according to the parameters that you consider important for your work. The main thing is that the training takes place on this particular model of the apparatus, since the theory must be supported by practice, and at the time of the transition to such, you should not have any questions about the technical characteristics.

What should you pay attention to when choosing a tattoo machine?

What parameters should the master be guided by when choosing a device ? There is a whole range of parameters, which include:

  • needle lift adjustment . An experienced master in appearance can determine the depth of penetration. However, if you do not have enough experience, setting according to the given parameters comes to the rescue. Thus, the pigment will not be introduced too deeply or, conversely, superficially.
  • Consumables. A rather controversial point, opinions on which absolutely differ. It is better to pay attention to the cost of consumables and the possibility of their quick acquisition. You will absolutely calmly use several needles per session, if there are no problems with the accessories for your typewriter when buying.
  • weight and handle design . Everything is simple here: the lighter the maniple, the less the arm will get tired and tense during the procedure.

Whichever permanent makeup machine you choose, in addition to it, you need to purchase a power supply, clip-cord (wire from the unit to the handle) and a pedal (or toggle switch). Do not save on buying these mechanisms, because it will help to secure your practice. Very often, PM handles break due to power surges, as a result of which the motor burns out. Modern power supplies are equipped with protection against such fluctuations, and their cost is lower than any declared device.

A good option for a beginner can be considered equipment that is characterized by accuracy, stability and reliability. The machine must be multifunctional so that work on different areas of the face, as well as mini-tattoo, can be successfully performed on it. Also, for most users, the following characteristics are important: silent operation, minimum weight of the device, barely perceptible vibration. Much attention is paid to safety. "smooth running" of the device, high speed and the ability to adjust the reach of the needle.
