Today the market offers the widest choice of devices from various manufacturers. And masters with extensive experience in the operation of machines, as a rule, have several. However, if you are just starting your career in the profession, then the issue of saving remains important (within acceptable limits, of course). Therefore, it is important to immediately decide which machine will be used in the work.

Rotary movements are converted into reciprocating ones with the help of an eccentric. Depending on the radius of the eccentric, the rotors are divided into short-stroke and long-stroke ( Dragonfly , Stingray , BISHOP , Cheyenne, Swach). In some devices, it is possible to independently change the eccentrics, thereby changing the course of the needle.

Pens - devices with a microprocessor and a pen.

Advantages: lightweight, quiet operation.

Disadvantages: lack of sterilization, needle-nozzle system, weak motor.

Inductors create oscillations of electromagnetic waves, as a result, there is a movement of the mechanism to which the rod with the needle is attached. The needle moves in a straight line (up and down).

Advantages: reliability.

Disadvantages: weight, noise, complicated setup.

The main characteristics of equipment for PM

Power - the ability to create a certain force on the tip of the needle.

As a rule, this value is set by the manufacturer. It determines the impact force of the needle.

The skin of the face has a heterogeneous density of connective tissue in different areas. For example, on the lips, at the site of herpes recurrence, the skin may be denser, which makes it difficult for the needle to penetrate to the required depth, and if the device is low-power, especially at low speeds, the needle begins to stick and cling to the skin. A device with sufficient power will allow the master to more easily overcome the resistance of the skin and ensure uniform immersion of the needle in areas of different density without pressing the needle on the skin.

Speed - the frequency of reciprocating movements of the needle per second (with the possibility of adjusting this indicator).

The motor has a characteristic - the angular speed of rotation of the rotor, on which the frequency of movement of the needle depends, but is not equal to it. The frequency coincides with the number of skin punctures.

Needle configuration.

Of course, each master himself chooses which needle configuration to work with, but there are devices that are designed to use only certain configurations - for example, only for a single needle.

The nature of the impact of the needle

Devices can be softer for shadow work and sharper for contour work. Now there are devices with the adjustment of this indicator.

Needle stroke - the distance from the highest point of the needle drop to the point of return to its original position. This value is set by the manufacturer and on the rotors is determined by the diameter of the eccentric.

For PM devices - 2–2.5 mm, rotors - 3.5 mm.

The needle must always return to the tip to pick up the pigment and deliver it to the skin.

Size, weight, appearance.

The device can be heavy, especially the masters who switch from PM pens to tattoo equipment complain about it. It can be noisy, which interferes with the master's work and scares the client.

Appearance is a factor that matters.

Factory programmed settings .

It happens that the devices already have certain settings that cannot be changed manually or that are not suitable for certain techniques.

Vibration

It may be felt more or less, due to the design features of the device.

There is little to no vibration in pens of Asian origin, as they are often made of plastic, which transmits vibration worse than metal.

In the rotors, it is regulated either by rubber bands or clamping mechanisms.

To reduce play, you can put on a cap with a narrower spout or rub the needle against one of the walls of the spout.

I am for devices designed to use modular systems. The module is a needle that is rigidly connected to the nozzle and is protected by a built-in hygienic membrane that protects the device from contamination and ingress of biological fluids.

When the module is removed, the needle automatically hides inside, which eliminates accidental injury.

The correct power supply for the PM machine. What is he?

A high-quality power supply is the key to long-term operation of your machine. Blocks are of two types: pulse (induction) and analog (transformer). Pulse are considered more durable.

When choosing a power supply, you need to pay attention to the following characteristics:

• current strength (for pulse - 2 amperes, for analog - from 1.5 to 3 amperes);
• voltage;
• input voltage;
• built-in surge protection.

In addition to the main characteristics, for many PM masters, appearance, compactness, portability, memory settings, the presence of touch controls and a screen on which the settings are visible are important.

It is important to remember that the more powerful your machine, the more powerful the power supply should be.

When choosing which device you will use to perform this or that technique on the face of your client, do not forget that the main tools of the PM master have always been and will be the head and hands! Improve and be professional!
