Creating a sketch of lips in permanent makeup: where to start?

It is necessary to first draw the correct contours in order to correctly perform the permanent makeup procedure. Only under the condition of skillfully drawing a sketch of the lips with a cosmetic pencil, you can get the expected result and fully satisfy the wishes of the client.

A guarantee of the quality of any permanent makeup procedure is the availability of appropriate education, which must necessarily include special training for the implementation of such procedures. Also, a good result depends on the correct drawing of a sketch of the future tattoo.

For a qualified permanent makeup master, the procedure must be preceded by a consultation with the client, during which the specialist must find out her ideas about the shape and color of the permanent, and also determine (together with the client) the best option for the necessary contours and shades.

What should be determined first? Firstly, how close the proportions of the face are to the desired, as well as to the generally accepted standards of beauty. Measurement of facial proportions, analysis of its shape and structure allow you to draw lines more correctly and correct or hide possible minor flaws. We are talking about the so-called giving the face symmetry.

After determining the shape, you can begin to select the color of the pigment. To do this, it is recommended to completely remove makeup from the face - otherwise you risk matching the shade to the tone of the shadows on the eyelids, and not to the natural skin tones. The color scheme of permanent makeup should always be selected individually; it should both be combined with the general color type of the client, and correspond to his image.

Only after that contours are outlined for applying the upcoming makeup. The master needs such an initial sketch in order to make sure that the future lips will not look alien on the client’s face and, most importantly, she will like it.

Beautiful lips

Most of the clients, coming to the permanent makeup office for lip correction, already have a clear idea of what shape and color of lips they want to have. As a rule, these ideas are formed on the basis of a long-term habit of applying makeup. But often the former shape and color of the lips do not match the type of face and are not suitable for pigmentation. There are also clients who only occasionally paint their lips and do not understand lipsticks.

Therefore, the task of the master is to give the client professional advice, and before performing permanent makeup, create a preliminary sketch of the lips. To do this, there is a wide selection of pencils, the shade of which differs depending on the type of skin, since the natural color of the lips affects the result of staining. On scarlet lips, the contour looks restrained and discreet, on pale lips it looks bright and fresh. Of course, in order to provide qualified advice, in addition to specialized knowledge, a specialist must have the ability to choose colors correctly.

Starting to draw a sketch, first lightly circle the natural contour of the lips with a camouflage pencil and blend it with a cotton swab so that the drawn contour seems more distinct and the correction of the shape of the lips is noticeable. Choose the shape of the lips with special care - it should be symmetrical and neat.

Always start sketching in the center of the lip, having previously accurately determined its middle. At the same time, it is important to navigate not only in the middle of the lip and nose, but also in the general shape of the lips, since the asymmetry of the halves of the lips is often observed. It is recommended to hold the pencil horizontally at the middle of the lip and draw a contour along the upper lip towards the corner of the mouth. To trace the lower lip, you need to make a relatively small horizontal line from the middle of the lip. The length of the line depends on the highest point of the beginning of the bend of the lip. Then draw a line to the corner of the mouth. It should be noted that the corners of the lips should visually close only when the mouth is closed, so the contour of the lips should not connect at the corners of the mouth.

In order for the client to clearly imagine the future shade of the lips, the master does not have to completely paint the lips. It is enough to carefully rub the contour with a cotton swab in the inner direction. Only after you have blended the pencil on the lip, you can make a final assessment of the conformity of the form.

Consider carefully the outline drawn in full face and in profile. It is very important to give the client a large mirror so that the whole face is reflected in it - this is the only way to notice errors, for example, possible asymmetry. It is also recommended to check how the new contour behaves in a smile, in facial expressions, when talking.
