Eye and eyebrow makeup

As a rule, the first age-related changes begin to appear in the area around the eyes. Crow's feet, as well as overhanging upper eyelids, will probably make you think about changing your makeup technique.

  1. Makeup primer should be applied before eye shadow or other types of eye makeup. This helps make-up stay in place for hours and also reduces the appearance of wrinkles and lines.
  2. Bright colors and straight bold lines should be avoided. It is better to use a dark gray or brown shade of eyeliner and gently blend it to the lash line so that the line at the outer corner of the eye goes up.
  3. Eye shadow should also be natural shades, matte or satin (not shiny). Bright colors are appropriate only in the outer corner of the eye, but not on the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe eyelid.
  4. Eyelash curlers should be used regularly as they help shape the lashes and open up the eyes.
  5. The use of lengthening and voluminous mascara will help to make the eyes more beautiful. This is important as eyelashes get thinner and shorter with age.
  6. The correct shape of the eyebrows can help create a lifting effect on the upper eyelid. To do this, it is important to make sure that the outer tip of the eyebrow is at the same level as the inner one, or slightly higher. Lines that go down are not allowed in anti-aging makeup. In general, eyebrows should be pronounced, but not too harsh or over-emphasized.

Lip makeup

Like most facial features, lips also change with age: their color may lighten or become more uneven, and their overall volume may decrease. Luckily, this is easy to fix with cosmetics.

First of all, it is important to outline the contours of the lips with a pencil. Darker shades of lipstick or pencil will accentuate the wrinkles around the mouth and nasolabial folds, while beige will make the lips completely “disappear”, which is also not a good idea, since the face looks older, more tired and pale. Therefore, it is better to choose rich berry shades (translucent) or colors that are slightly brighter than the natural color of the lips. The shade of the pencil should not contrast with the color of the lipstick. There are a lot of translucent silicone-based lip pencils out there these days that won't be too noticeable, while at the same time they will prevent lipstick from bleeding. As the final touch for the evening, it is appropriate to choose bright red lipstick, combined with discreet, elegant and natural eye makeup, this will make you look younger.

The most important thing is to remember that a woman is as old as she looks and feels. Therefore, the secret of eternal youth is quite simple: it's not so much about cosmetics, but how your eyes shine and your lips smile!
