Wedding eye makeup: what to pay attention to?
And what mistakes to avoid
Our expert, makeup artist Irina Kurilko, tells us how to create harmonious wedding eye makeup.
Eye makeup plays one of the most important roles in a bride's beauty look, so it is important to pay special attention to it. Soft shading, spectacular arrow or monoshadow? Which false eyelashes should I use? Is it worth emphasizing the line of the upper eyelid? How to do eyebrow makeup for a wedding? Our expert Irina Kurilko answers all these questions.
Smoky eyes always look gorgeous in photographs, videos, from a distance, in a registry office or in a restaurant - this makeup suits everyone and is always relevant.
The trends today also include clear schemes - contrasting shadows, sharp lines. For an ultra-modern bride, such makeup is quite suitable, and yet 95% of girls choose a more feminine and delicate look. This means soft transitions, careful shading, a beautiful fan of eyelashes.
Arrows in wedding makeup
Black, dark brown, dark purple, dark green or dark blue eyeliner along the upper lash line. Not necessarily an arrow, as many people think, but just a contour, a line shaded from the outside. The main advantage of eyeliner is that it does not reprint, does not flow, does not smudge, and together with false eyelashes - which give additional contour - it forms the basis of wedding eye makeup. Due to the line of the eyebrows and the growth of the upper eyelashes and false eyelashes, the bride is “readable”.
Eyelashes
False eyelashes are a must have for wedding makeup . Here the question already arises not “to be or not to be?”, but “solid or bundled?” The decisive factor is the client’s comfort. If the bride has never glued eyelashes before, whole ones may not suit her - her eyes will get tired, hurt, and watery. Therefore, most often makeup artists work with bunch eyelashes of different sizes from long, medium and short.
Eyelashes are one of the most important aspects of wedding makeup. They emphasize the shape of the eye, ensure durability and expressiveness of the make-up. Nothing will happen to false eyelashes during the holiday. They will remain on the eyelids until they are removed. Sometimes make-up artists focus on eyelashes - they can be colored, decorated with stones, feathers, or in harmony with a dress or bouquet. There are a lot of nuances.
Is it possible to wear eyelash extensions for a wedding? Can. But not long before, but on the eve of the holiday. Eyelash extensions tend to twist and turn after a certain time and may not look very good on the decisive day.
Eyebrow makeup
In many ways, the magic of a wonderful transformation occurs due to eyebrows. They are adjusted in advance - sometimes they need to be grown out, corrected. You can pinch and shape directly on your wedding day.
Eyebrows should not be darker than eye makeup. Today there are two key trends: dark, thick, wide, natural eyebrows even for blondes or a visible absence of eyebrows for brunettes. A light eyebrow looks beautiful on blondes and redheads. An eyebrow in the same color looks harmonious on brown-haired women and brunettes.
Eyebrows should be perfect. This is a timeless trend that sets the eye makeup scheme.
If you focus on eyebrow modeling techniques, a pencil will do. It gives a lasting effect and a model, beautiful, shaped eyebrow. If the bride's eyebrows do not require special correction, you can limit yourself to shadow or not paint them at all. Unruly eyebrows are best fixed with extra-strong hold hairspray.
