Eye makeup with white eyeliner - a new trend?

During Dior's couture show at Fashion Week, models flitted down the runway not only in ethereal white outfits, but also with white lines on their lower eyelids. Makeup creative director Peter Philips said that you can lighten up your face with ease, and what could be lighter and more graceful than white eyeliner?

"In some ways, white eyeliner is almost like white thread."

Of course, using white eyeliner for eye makeup is not a new trick at all, but a little forgotten. Moreover, in 2022, the makeup artist proposes placing white matte lines not along the upper eyelid, as we are used to, but along the lower eyelid, slightly extending the tails beyond the mucous membrane.

"Don't be afraid to play with your eyeliner," says Peter Philips.

Moreover, he emphasizes that white color always visually opens the eyes and makes the gaze more open, as if inviting one to start communicating. In addition, white color goes well with any eye shape and color, so it can be used for any client or model.

Before applying the eyeliner, the makeup artist applied Diorshow Khôl eyeliner in shade 009 to the skin and mucous membranes. The next step is to use Diorshow On Stage Liner in shade 001 Matte White to create a straight graphic line along the lower eyelids. Peter refused to use mascara so as not to disrupt the angle of his contracted white wings.
