Makeup with arrows is a delicate matter. What mistakes should you forget about once and for all, so that the resulting makeup is accurate, harmonious and beautiful?

Arrows that do not match the shape of the eyes

For example, if a girl has small or narrow eyes, you should give up the idea of drawing wide arrows - they will look out of place and make the look heavier. In this case, give preference to thin liners or avoid them altogether, so as not to overload your makeup and make it worse. Or use the liner only on the upper eyelid and blend it a little - this will help to visually enlarge your eyes.

"Naked" eyes

The arrow is a spectacular accent in makeup, which is important to place against a certain background in the form of ideal facial skin. Before drawing arrows, it is important to even out the shade, hide all minor skin imperfections, including on the eyelids, and only then proceed with eye makeup. Makeup artists are helped with this by foundations, concealers, correctors and eye shadow bases.

Gaps in the interciliary space

The arrow stretches and lifts the eye, and also visually continues the eyelash row. Therefore, if there are gaps in the space between the eyelashes (light skin is visible), then the contrasting black or colored arrow looks torn from the eye. To avoid this mistake, do not forget to paint over the “interlashes” with a pencil or eyeliner.

Uneven arrows

If you are not always able to draw even and identical arrows on both eyes from the first touch with eyeliner, make a sketch using a pencil. It is convenient to make a sketch with an unstable brown or gray pencil, so that you can carefully correct defects with a dry cotton swab and align both arrows.

Failure to comply with proportions

As a rule, at the beginning, at the inner corner of the eye, the arrow should be as thin as possible so that the line seems to come out of the interlash space. Then the arrow becomes wider and tapers again at the tail. Violation of these rules leads to the fact that arrows weigh down the look, make the eyes disproportionate, and make-up sloppy.

Ignoring colored liners

Set aside black eyeliner if your client has small or narrow eyes. A contrasting dark shade of the wings will make them even smaller, and the makeup will undoubtedly be ruined. Give preference to lighter colors: brown, gray, blue. Don’t neglect shading – it will help visually lengthen or widen your eyes, depending on your needs.
