Eye makeup in black: step-by-step technology with photos
Contrasting makeup
Black eye makeup is, on the one hand, a fairly classic makeup technique, and on the other, a very radical decision. We tell you and show you how to repeat it in the material.
Black eye makeup is a throwback to the past and at the same time a fashion trend. Even in ancient Egypt, women and men drew dark lines around their eyes, which carried a religious meaning, imitating a cat's squint. Over time, black lining around the eyes has become a classic element of makeup, and to make the eyes even more expressive, smoky eyes makeup arose in the 20s and 30s of the last century. It appeared after the First World War, largely under the influence of cinema, and was primarily done in shades of black and gray.
Today, black eye makeup is a fashion trend. Designers and makeup artists at fashion weeks are experimenting with arrows, strokes and smokey eyes, creating more and more new makeup options. Today we are talking about monochromatic eye makeup in black, which will be easy for you to repeat thanks to our step-by-step technology.
Step 1. Apply base and foundation.
Step 2. Correct the face using oily textures. Set with powder.
Step 3. Shape the eyes with a black pencil.
Step 4. Duplicate with black shadows. Apply red and burgundy colors alternately to the moving eyelid, creating a smooth transition.
Step 5. Emphasize the eyes with false eyelashes.
Step 6. Shape the lips using a black pencil. Fill with red lipstick.
