Peeling agents and classification of peelings
In the new article, we will consider what are the recommendations for the peeling procedure and how to correctly collect anamnesis.
Classification of peelings according to the histological depth of necrosis
- Very superficial light peeling: necrosis at the level of the stratum corneum. Agents used: TCA 10%, HA 30-50%, salicylic acid 20-30%, Jessner's solution 1-3 layers, tretinoin 1-5%.
- Superficial light peeling: necrosis through the entire epidermis to the basal layer. Used agents: TSA 10-30%, HA 50-70%, Jessner's solution 4-7 layers.
- Medium peeling: necrosis of the upper reticular dermis. Agents used: TCA 35-50%, HA 70% plus TCA 35%, 88% phenol without occlusion, Jessner's solution plus TCA 35%, carbonic acid snow plus TCA 35%.
- Deep peeling: necrosis to the middle reticular dermis. Agents used: Becker-Gordon phenol peeling.
