Basics of dermatocosmetology: we perform a chemical peeling procedure
Again, we are talking about an effective method of correcting involutional skin changes
Carrying out any chemical peeling, in fact, leads to a chemical burn of the skin. The risk of complications after this procedure can be reduced to a minimum by advance preparation, use of modern peeling mixtures, exact adherence to the peeling protocol, control of the depth of damage and creation of optimal conditions for skin rehabilitation.
Carrying out any chemical peeling involves the completion of three stages: pre-peeling preparation, the actual peeling procedure and post-peeling rehabilitation. Most companies that produce professional cosmetics develop not only peeling preparations, but also a full range of preparations for pre-peeling preparation and home skin care during the recovery period.
Pre-peeling preparation
The task of pre-peeling preparation is to equalize the thickness of the stratum corneum, stabilize or inhibit melanogenesis, and stimulate regeneration (especially with severe skin laxity). Preparing the skin for peeling at home is a very important stage that determines the depth and controllability of peeling, its effectiveness. Inadequate preparation can lead to minimal, insufficient or heterogeneous results.
Preparation of the skin for the procedure is an equally important condition for the effectiveness of peeling. To improve the penetration of the peeling composition, special lotions (containing alcohol or acetone) are used, which well degrease and dry the stratum corneum of the skin, ensuring a deeper and more uniform penetration of the peeling solution. At the next stage of preparation, inflammatory elements and areas of the skin where peeling requires special care are marked.
