According to the severity of the course of drug allergy, acute and prolonged forms can be distinguished. Let's talk about the symptoms and course of drug allergy, focusing separately on factors that can complicate the patient's condition.
According to the severity of the course of drug allergy, acute and prolonged forms can be distinguished. Acute forms include: anaphylactic shock, bronchospastic syndrome, rhinitis, conjunctivitis; hemopathies, skin manifestations. Prolonged forms include: serum syndrome, drug vasculitis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Lyell's syndrome.
Anaphylactic shock is a very dangerous manifestation of drug allergy. Today, it is the most severe generalized manifestation of MA, caused by the course of a type 1 immunological reaction and the release of a large number of cytokines.
Shock can sometimes resemble psychopathological states (fainting, etc.), anaphylactoid reactions caused by the release of allergy mediators without a prior immunological reaction - due to excessive intake of certain foods, foods with a high histamine content.
