Medical dermopigmentation is the only way to make skin defects as invisible as possible today. Let's talk about the main stages of the procedure

In one of the articles in the ABCs of the Beginner PM Master, we touched on the topic of scars and camouflage of this skin defect.

Recall that the camouflage procedure is a type of medical dermopigmentation that allows you to hide skin color defects caused by pigmentation disorders, surgery or injuries. Medical dermopigmentation is the only way to make skin defects as invisible as possible today.

In continuation of the topic, we propose to discuss the main stages and advantages of camouflaging aesthetic defects.

E - stages of camouflage

The main stages of camouflage of aesthetic defects using permanent makeup:

  1. Cleansing the skin, treatment with a disinfectant solution.
  2. Selection and coordination of pigment.
  3. Application of local or, if necessary, conduction anesthesia.
  4. Performing a tattoo.
  5. Treating the skin with an antiseptic, applying a cream to relieve irritation.

The duration of the procedure is affected by the complexity and amount of work - it can take from 1.5 to 3 hours. A crust forms at the tattoo site within 3-10 days, which eventually disappears on its own. During this period, you should refrain from visiting the solarium, sauna and swimming pool. The cost of camouflaging scars, scars and stretch marks depends on their size.

Camouflage is a laborious process, not a one-time procedure. Since during aesthetic tattooing the pigment is introduced to a shallow depth, it tends to “squeeze out” by the body over time, so the procedure should be repeated about once a year. The number of procedures is determined individually, depending on the characteristics of the body and tissues.

Camouflage is the most non-traumatic way to smooth out pronounced skin defects. However, there are restrictions on its use - they relate to too dark scars and keloid scars. With regard to light, the procedure is carried out no earlier than six months after their formation.

To achieve maximum results, the working surface (scar, scar, etc.) must be normotrophic (smooth and relatively flat).

Benefits of the procedure

  • pigments do not contain hazardous elements and compounds, have been dermatologically tested, are non-toxic and do not cause allergic reactions;
  • the density of laying the pigment is so high and uniform that it can only be compared with the uniformity and uniformity of natural skin colors;
  • pigments are laid down to the melanin layer, which ensures color consistency;
  • the procedure is performed under local anesthesia and is absolutely painless;
  • no recovery period
