How to mask postoperative marks: the possibilities of a permanent
Permanent lip makeup after cheiloplasty
Plastic surgery that corrects such a defect as a cleft lip still leaves scars and scars on the skin. This is where permanent makeup comes in.

Currently, permanent makeup is used not only as a “leave-in cosmetics”, but also as the final stage after surgical interventions in the face area, which allows masking postoperative traces. In this article, we will consider the possibilities of PM in the case of plastic work with such a defect as a cleft lip.
Modern cosmetology offers a wide range of procedures for correcting natural data or correcting congenital and acquired defects in appearance. An example of this is cheiloplasty, a surgical method that is usually used to correct serious defects in appearance, such as injuries resulting from an accident, severe asymmetry in the mouth pattern, or a cleft lip. Plastic surgery that corrects such a defect as a cleft lip still leaves scars and scars on the skin. This is where permanent makeup comes in. With it, you can make natural defects less noticeable, mask the consequences of injuries, burns, and operations.
With the help of decorative PM, you can slightly change the shape of the lips and correct imperfections such as scars, cleft lip, asymmetry and other problems.
For each client, I select a specific tattoo technique. In this case, I used the effect of lipstick (dense shading effect): this method is the best way to change the shape and relief of your own lip shape.
The course of the procedure
Competently creating a sketch of the lips is an important task in any PM procedure, in this case doubly so. When building a sketch, we do not forget about important nuances: it is strongly not recommended to go beyond the natural contours of the lips and reach the skin of the face where there are pores, hairs grow, etc. Due to objective reasons, in the case of this client, we will not be able to achieve perfect symmetry, but relative symmetry can still be achieved.
After drawing a sketch on the lips, you need to fix it.
I work with two machines. I make the contour with the XCF device, with a 1 RL needle (0.25 and 0.3 mm). The acupuncture needle has a smoother edge, which allows it to enter the skin more easily. The main thing is not to go deep. At this stage, we work with fast short lines, strokes - on ourselves. There is no need to make the outline very dense, now our task is not to paint over tightly, but simply to fix the sketch. Before starting a dense coloring, it is very important in the sitting position of the client to check the symmetry again. After that I apply anesthesia.
Result immediately after the PM procedure
I do shading on the lips with the Cheyenne Hawk Spirit apparatus, using 5 RS (0.25 mm) beam needles. I fill the entire surface with pigment, which creates the effect of a slightly brighter makeup with a glitter effect. This technique helps to add volume and changes the natural shade of the lips, but at the same time they look natural. With its help, we achieve symmetry and a clear contour, but complete shading makes the contour not very noticeable.
Be sure to analyze the client's skin tone: this will allow you to choose the right pigment color. For this procedure, I used Premier Red Rose pigments.
As in other techniques, I applied the pigment to the skin superficially: this not only makes the procedure safer, but at the same time helps the pigment to have a stable shade that will simply lighten over time, and not go into unwanted shades.
The allowable number of passes depends on the elasticity and tension of the skin, the pressure of the needle, the number of needles, the speed of the needle and many other factors.
Healed result, one month after the first procedure
Permanent make-up has entered the cosmetic and medical practice for a long time and has become not only an ordinary, but often a necessary procedure. A good master can draw beautiful lips, perfect eyebrows on the face and, in addition to pointing out beauty, also eliminate cosmetic defects.
