Local and systemic therapy of acne: features of treatment in the summer period
Facial care during treatment

Warm weather, high humidity and active sun can affect the skin and its condition. Let's consider several key points that should be taken into account in the local and systemic therapy of acne in the summer.
Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the sebaceous gland, which is accompanied by increased secretion of sebum, blockage of the sebaceous gland and reproduction of cutibacteria acne. Sometimes the process of acne development stops at the stage of pore blockage, then black and white pimples (comedones) appear. But in most cases, bacteria multiply in the sebum and provoke inflammation on the skin, which is why inflammatory rashes (pustules) or deeper, severe and painful lesions, called nodules, appear.
For effective treatment and permanent remission, you need to understand that the cause of acne is hormonal! Increased levels of androgens in both boys and girls during puberty cause the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum than the skin itself needs.
Increased sensitivity of the sebaceous glands (absolute and relative hyperandrogenism) also belongs to the main physiological causes of acne development. It should also not be forgotten that there are other factors (triggers) that contribute to the appearance of acne, as well as worsen the course of acne treatment.
