Acne is a chronic (!) inflammatory disease of the sebaceous gland that occurs as a result of polyetiological changes in skin structures. It is accompanied by papules, pustules and inflammatory elements located on the face, back, chest (seborrheic zones).
According to statistics, about 9.4% of the entire population of the planet is faced with acne. Often this problem is called a teenage problem, but, unfortunately, teenagers are not the only group at risk. Acne affects about 40% of adults, and this rate continues to rise among both men and women.
Almost 20% of people develop severe forms (conglobate and abscessing) of acne, and every fourth of them remains postacne, and this is a serious psychological problem. At the same time, only 20% of people turn to a doctor for professional medical help.
The main diagnostic feature of acne is the presence of comedones, open and closed.
