Mechanical stimulation, or massage, can be called the first aesthetic technology in the history of human development. Since ancient times, people have used massage to maintain the beauty and youth of the face and body. And today, the popularity of massage technologies is still great, despite the significant number of modern high-tech methods of therapeutic cosmetology.

The secret of the success of mechanical stimulation, which can be called absolutely all numerous types of massage, lies in its unique and versatile effect on the human body with a minimum number of contraindications.

Effect on the body

The effect of massage cannot be considered simply as a mechanical effect on the tissue. This is a complex physiological process, in which the central nervous system plays a leading role.

In the mechanism of action of massage on the body, it is customary to distinguish three factors: nervous, humoral and mechanical.

First of all, massage affects the central and autonomic nervous systems. At the initial stage of mechanical stimulation, irritation of the receptors of the skin, muscles, tendons and vascular walls occurs. Then the impulses caused by this irritation are transmitted to the central nervous system and reach the corresponding areas of the cerebral cortex. There, a general complex reaction occurs, causing functional changes in the body.
