At the first meeting, it is important for a permanent makeup master to convey to the client that it is necessary to go through all the stages of healing correctly, so that in the future watercolor lips or powder eyebrows will only please

Clients come to the first consultation with a permanent makeup master with many different questions regarding the procedure, the result of the master’s work, as well as the recovery period and features of tattoo care. They want everything to regenerate quickly so that their lifestyle does not change for a day. Therefore, at the first meeting, it is important for the master to convey to the client that, in fact, in order to please juicy watercolor lips or neat powder eyebrows in the future, you need to correctly go through all the stages of healing.

If you ignore the recommendations of a specialist, the result will not live up to expectations - the skin will get a bad color or "leopard" spots. At best, this will be corrected in the correction. At worst, the tattoo will need to be removed and started over.

In this article, we have collected important information on how to properly care for your skin during the healing period. The recommendations of the masters will be useful to all practitioners. Just print them out and give them as a reminder to your clients or send them to viber as a reminder.

Stages of skin healing

Permanent makeup on different areas of the face heal approximately the same. The skin goes through three stages:

1. The appearance of crusts. The ichor appears, the place is regularly wiped with a napkin with Chlorhexidine

2. Peeling. From the 4th day, active cell regeneration begins. The skin dries out, crusts form

3. Complete restoration of the skin. On the 8-14th day, the deep layers are renewed, the skin becomes denser, the paint takes root.

4 taboos during healing

1. Steam

While the pigment takes root, it is forbidden to steam in the bathroom, sauna, swimming pool - even to play sports intensively. From steamed skin, the crusts will fall off earlier, the color under them will not have time to gain a foothold.

As a result, we get : uneven tone, spots, changed shade. The work needs to be redone.

What is allowed : wash your face with clean water, gently pat the healing areas, reduce the amount of training, try to sweat less.

2. Swim

Fresh spraying is a wound on the face. In a pond, it is easy to catch staphylococcus aureus, herpes, and other infections. And the crusts will get wet, which can lead to blurring of the pigment.

As a result, we get : infections, rashes, herpes, uneven color.

What is allowed : swim after 2 weeks, when everything is completely healed.

3. Sunbathe

Young skin needs a month to absorb melanin and protect itself from the sun. In the sun, the pigment burns out, the dermis regenerates worse. Therefore, it is better to refrain from sunbathing under direct rays.

What is the danger : discoloration of the tattoo.

What is acceptable : 3 weeks after the peeling stage, take air baths in the shade in the morning or in the evening.

4. Drink alcohol

While the skin regenerates, you need to completely eliminate alcohol. Alcoholic drinks dull the immune system, the skin recovers longer.

What is the danger : long painful healing.

What is acceptable : a glass of wine or beer a week after the procedure.

Eyebrows: recovery period

After permanent eyebrow makeup, the recovery period lasts at least 4 weeks; its duration varies depending on the individual characteristics of the age and metabolic processes of the body, skin type and care.

Immediately after the procedure, the brow ridges are bright and wide. The master applies a special cosmetic product to the permanent makeup area of the eyebrows. Depending on individual sensitivity, you may experience short-term discomfort (tingling, burning) and even pain. After the procedure, there may also be a short-term preservation of unexpressed edema and hyperemia in the area of permanent makeup.

In the next 2-3 days, several times a day (at least 4 times), as a feeling of tightness, discomfort occurs, a wound healing and anti-inflammatory agent should be applied in a thin layer after a mandatory preliminary consultation with the attending physician.

The first 3-5 days is the period of crust formation and its natural exfoliation. On dry skin, peeling is easy. Oily skin with wide pores, more dense and prone to the formation of large crusts. It is during this period that clients may feel itchy. Advise them not to scratch their skin and try not to touch it at all. Peeling stops at 8-14 days. During this period, you can not use decorative cosmetics. This is followed by further healing and pigment migration in the skin layers. Exfoliation over the next 2 weeks in some cases causes the pigment to partially lose color and brightness, which later appear. From day 14 to day 30, young skin grows. The shade looks natural, the eyebrows no longer look super-saturated and wide. Time to sign up for correction.

During care after permanent makeup of the eyebrows (as well as for other areas) it is strictly prohibited:

  • touch the permanent makeup area with your hands;
  • wet the area of permanent makeup during the first 3-4 days (from the moment of rendering the service of permanent makeup of the eyebrows and until the start of natural peeling of the crust);
  • remove the crust or individual parts of it yourself.

Eyelid healing

Surviving healing in front of the eyes is the easiest.

Immediately after the procedure, a slight swelling may occur, which disappears in 1-2 hours. The next day, in a client with thin skin, the eyelids may also swell, this disappears in 4-5 hours. On thick skin, this may not appear at all. There is a healing without funds. The face is not smeared with creams or Vaseline, they are not painted. Thin crusts peel off imperceptibly, without causing discomfort. By 5-6 days, the crusts completely disappear. During the first 10-14 days in the healing process, exclude direct exposure to ultraviolet rays (including a solarium) and any steaming procedures (bath, sauna, cosmetic procedures); exclude visiting the pool with chlorinated and sea water.

In the subsequent period, it is necessary to use a sunscreen (UF protection factor of at least 35) on the permanent makeup area to increase its durability and prevent the pigment from disappearing.

At the second session, the master adds brightness, corrects the shape, thickness.

Lips: recovery period

Lips are the most difficult and uncomfortable to heal. This is a mobile mimic area: a person constantly speaks, smiles, eats. Due to improper care and constant facial expressions, the skin cracks, pain may occur.

Immediately after the procedure, the master treats the lips with special cosmetics. In the first 5-10 minutes, it is possible to secrete an ichor, which should be blotted once with a disposable napkin to form a neat crust.

Immediately after the procedure, the following are possible: swelling, asymmetry, temporary vascular reaction in the form of redness or darkening of skin areas, small hematomas (bruises), a feeling of fullness and soreness in the lips. Such sensations and swelling persist for a period of 30 minutes or more, depending on the individual characteristics of the organism.

Dry recovery begins in the first days. The use of lipsticks, balms, glosses is prohibited. Encourage clients to use only the skin care product that you gave them with you.

Lips heal faster than eyebrows. But you can still sign up for a correction only after a month, when the skin is completely restored and the color appears.

Nuances of correction

30 days is the minimum time for skin recovery. It is impossible to make a correction earlier, even if the tattoo healed immediately. The skin will be re-injured, this can lead to bruising, microscars.

90 days is the maximum period to correct the shape, add saturation, significantly correct the pattern during the period when the tone has taken root. If you come to the master after this time, you will have to re-draw the sketch and carry out the procedure.

Instead of a conclusion

At the end of the procedure, the master must explain to each client how the skin heals. Give a brochure with care instructions, special wipes and products. And once again to remind that, only following the recommendations, the healing will go well, the coloring matter will be taken tightly.

Permanent makeup is an expensive service, and not only financially. No one wants to see blots, scars or other troubles on their face after healing. Therefore, properly caring for fresh PM is just as important as choosing a reliable master.
