Permanent makeup care: how to avoid mistakes
How to take care of a tattoo?
Tattoo care is the last, but no less important step on which the final result depends. And it is the PM master who is obliged to teach the client how to properly care for his fresh permanent makeup.
We all divide the process of tattooing any zone into several stages:
- The choice of pigment depending on the needs of the client.
- Tattooing with the help of high-quality equipment and correctly placed hands :)
- Tattoo care and its complete healing.
The final result depends on the last stage, no less than on others, and it is you, as a master, who are obliged to teach the client how to properly care for his fresh permanent makeup. Otherwise, the work is down the drain, and the client is dissatisfied. In this article, we will talk about how to avoid the main mistakes so that everyone is happy.
We distribute by zones
Eyebrows are the most popular place for permanent tattooing. Immediately after its application, swelling appears on the eyebrows, and within a few hours, crusts appear. We know that peeling off these scabs will in no way speed up the healing process, so we don't forget to tell the client about this as well. We also mention that in the first couple of days the pigment will be brighter than desired, and immediately after the crusts come off, on the contrary, it will be dimmer. The final, so desired, result will be visible in about a month.
Healing of the lips occurs in much the same way as the eyebrows. Except that if your client is predisposed to herpes, then he should be advised to drink an antiviral agent (eg Acyclovir) in the first week after tattooing, for prevention.
Eyelids are the easiest to heal. After the procedure, swelling appears (1-3 days), and then a thin crust, which also cannot be torn off.
After tattooing any of the areas, encourage your client to avoid sunlight, apply decorative makeup, steam the skin, rub, peel off the crusts, etc. In general, no physical effort to help the tattoo "heal faster", as well as no alcohol-containing lotions on inflamed skin.
Reliable helpers
The only thing that can help a client in such a difficult job as caring for a brand new permanent makeup is special healing gels and ointments designed exclusively for the fastest regeneration of damaged skin. Each master has his own thoughts about the most suitable products, but healing gels, which include natural plant ingredients (and not a drop of alcohol), are ideal for permanent tattoo care of all areas. They do not dry out or over-moisturize the skin. And as we know, too much hydration (for example, from nourishing creams) contributes to softening of the crusts and longer healing. In general, the main thing after the procedure of applying a fresh permanent tattoo is to maintain the right balance between moisturizing and dry skin, and in order for your clients to remain charming, despite the ban on the use of decorative cosmetics, advise them on excellent assistants in caring for a new make-up.
