Needles in permanent makeup: an assistant in work
The universal needle is no longer a myth

Good, easy-to-use needles are a must for every permanent makeup specialist. Surely you have your favorites, but discovering something new is always interesting.
Natalia Klyushina, methodologist at the Ideal Contour Training Center (exclusive distributor of Nouveau Contour (Netherlands) in Ukraine), PM master with a medical education, practicing cosmetologist, make-up artist, speaker of scientific and practical conferences on PM, participant in the international permanent makeup conference PMUWC (Amsterdam) , 2016)
The permanent makeup industry has acquired a new needle, and this is nothing but another advantage and helper in the work. You always want to have a universal needle in your arsenal, which will help you be free in your own choice of technique and the combination of several techniques at the same time during one procedure without changing the needle.
Work out all three zones quickly, easily, professionally! The master only needs to correctly deploy the needle point, choose the angle of inclination and use only the number of needles that is necessary for this technique. It seems fantastic that only one needle can handle the task of powder and hair combination or lip contouring and smooth gradient filling. 3 Sloped - with just one movement of the hand, a soft single turns into a shading trio.
Needle Features
Visually, the needles of the Sloped configuration are arranged in a row, but, unlike the Flate needle, they are beveled, offset relative to each other.

Also in the Sloped line, as a rule, the five configuration is available, but still it can be inferior in jewelry, but superior in speed. There are always pros and cons, you just need to remember this and take into account the difficulties that the master can face.
The advantage of the 3 Sloped needle is its versatility in its use - both for contouring and for shading. Feathering - when working with a plane, lines - when working with an edge, as well as the ability to work with one needle (as a unit). Compared to all your favorite ones, Sloped makes it easier to lay shadows, less traumatize the skin, the mark of such needles is very neat and light.
If we compare Sloped with needles collected in round bundles, then round needles are worse at working with the contour. It will be more grainy and uneven than the perfectly thin line drawn by the edge of the Sloped needle. At the same time, the pigment is implanted into the skin during work with beam needles for much longer, due to the high resistance of the skin to round needles, respectively, the injury is greater and, as a result, the crust is thicker and the healing process is worse. And when working with scars, I give my vote to Sloped needles.
Why Sloped?
Many masters are ready to defend their right to classical techniques, and I can really say that you can achieve results with any needle if you are an experienced craftsman. That is, any needle can carry out the procedure, and it will be successful. "1 liner", "3 light", "5 shading" and "filling". Also, do not forget that not every master has a device with such a configuration of needles, so you need to purchase additional equipment to be able to work with it. I hope that in the near future, manufacturers will pay attention to a good product and introduce it into the line of needles for general use. Unfortunately, so far, few people independently address the issue of advanced training with the opportunity to try working with a 3 Sloped needle. I, as a master, on my own, on my own initiative, introduce it into the culture of young professionals already at the basic course, since, dear colleagues, you need to start with yourself and discover something new and interesting today.
Also, when working with this needle, it is worth considering the texture of the pigment, that is, how liquid or viscous it is: this may subsequently affect the hiding power, correct laying and uniformity of filling. Liquid pigment is fed to the needle faster, and the master must adjust the needle's reach. That is, we follow the formula: liquid pigment - large needle stick-out, thick pigment - small needle stick-out; hair and contour - liquid pigment, shading - thick pigment.
The needles can be different both in the shape of sharpening and soldered. Basically, the thickness of all needles of the 3K series varies from 0.25 to 0.4 mm in diameter. Units may be thinner. Please note that it is worth considering the diameter of the needle puncture, since it will be smaller with a conical sharpening. For example, we take a needle with a diameter of 0.4, and the puncture is already 0.25 mm. I can also notice that for some manufacturers, the pigment is supplied only to 3 or 5 needles at the same time (when working with a plane, setting it to a horizontal position) and, unfortunately, the work of the unit is difficult due to the failure of the mechanism to supply the pigment correctly.
Needle characteristics
Permanent makeup is not only a good master, apparatus and pigments, but also needles. It is impossible to overestimate their importance, even a virtuoso is powerless to do an excellent job without quality tools. Of course, in order to achieve the desired result, it is necessary to take a comprehensive approach to the micropigmentation process, since the choice of needle entails the consistency of the pigment, the choice of the frequency of the device, and the configuration of the needles allows you to vary the color. And, unequivocally, certain configurations of needles will work more efficiently for some, but will not suit others. Each master is always ready to grow in the profession or is looking for a solution to cope with any, even previously impossible task. Now my choice and my favorite needle in the arsenal is 3 Sloped! Master's Choice!
