Let's understand: types of mascara brushes
For any effect
The effect that mascara provides on eyelashes is largely provided not by the cosmetic composition itself, but by the applicator for applying it. That is why we take a closer look at the main types of mascara brushes so that choosing the right one is not difficult.
Material
As a rule, mascara brushes are divided into classic spiral and silicone. Silicone ones pick up a large amount of mascara, which is evenly distributed over the entire surface of the brush, including penetrating between the teeth. This allows you to evenly distribute the required mass of product over the eyelashes, enveloping each hair. Using a silicone brush, it is convenient to create the effect of volume and lengthening.
Classic spiral brushes are made of plastic and synthetic bristles . At the same time, the villi adhere very tightly to each other, due to which the mascara gets on the eyelashes in doses. Therefore, it is better to choose such brushes for natural daytime makeup, where you want the effect of slightly colored eyelashes. Super volume can only be achieved by layering mascara onto your eyelashes several times.
Form
There are a huge number of different mascara brushes on the market today. They help set the eyelashes in the desired direction and partially provide the desired effect, but do not forget that the formula of the product and the skills of the makeup artist are also important points. You can curl, lengthen and make eyelashes more voluminous using hand movements.
Straight brush. This is a classic option with which you simply emphasize the natural beauty of the client’s eyelashes by coloring them from root to tip. Ideal for light everyday makeup.
Oval brush. As a rule, oval brushes are used in mascaras, the main purpose of which is to add volume to the eyelashes. The larger the brush (and the bristles, respectively, longer), the better it envelops the eyelashes on all sides and provides a hypervolumizing effect.
Curved brush. This brush option allows you to slightly curl your eyelashes, so it is ideal for girls with straight eyelashes. Since it gives a delicate effect, use it for morning and daytime makeup. But if the tube with mascara has a curved and large brush, in this case it will not only give the eyelashes a beautiful curve, but will also provide volume.
Cone-shaped brush. Due to the different lengths of the bristles, which decrease toward the top of the brush, they follow the shape of the eyelashes, well separating and coloring each eyelash from root to tip. This brush works best for lengthening, so you shouldn’t expect much volume from it.
In the shape of a figure eight. Despite its strange appearance, this brush is very easy to use. Its trick is that with the help of longer bristles on the sides it is easy to thoroughly paint the eyelashes at the inner and outer corners of the eye, which are usually the most difficult to reach.
Round. Girls are sometimes afraid of round mascara brushes because of their impressive appearance. In fact, it is convenient to use a round brush to paint over each hair, twisting and lengthening it. With due diligence, you can even get the effect of false eyelashes without any problems!
