The cosmetic brand Izzy presents to our attention an eternal eco-mascara. How is this possible? We talk about it in the material.

Beauty brand Izzy recently released a beauty product that can be called the world's first waste-free mascara.

First, the tube that contains the product is made from recyclable, medical-grade stainless steel and contains 94% less plastic than conventional mascaras.

Secondly, it is reusable. After the mascara runs out, the consumer sends the tube to brand representatives. It undergoes thorough medical sterilization and is refilled with product, after which it travels to a new buyer. Each product can be subjected to over 10,000 quarterly cleaning and reuse cycles, meaning the mascara you buy today can be used for the next 60 generations or more.

Thirdly, the product does not contain any animal ingredients and is completely vegan.

And a few more important points. The water used in the production process is triple purified and reused instead of being released into the oceans. The brand also remelts the tassels to make new ones. What's more, the products have no secondary packaging and use companies with a zero carbon footprint for delivery.

Shannon Goldberg, founder of Izzy, wanted to create a brand that was completely eco-friendly and zero waste.

“As a mom of a millennial, I wanted to provide my daughter with truly eco-friendly beauty products that went beyond the standards of the current environmental movement. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish. If we want to give our children a fighting chance tomorrow, we need to do something drastic to reverse this cycle today.”

In addition, the new mascara from Izzy Zero Waste Beauty is one of the few beauty products that meets the criteria of the CarbonNeutral Protocol, which has certified the mascara as carbon neutral.

The formula of the mascara consists of microfibers and, as the manufacturer promises, does not stick or leave clumps on the eyelashes, and the high-quality Wave Brush ensures comfortable application.

The mascara starter kit costs $35, and quarterly refills cost $19. Would you like to try it?
