Knowing everything about the latest makeup trends of 2019 is extremely important for every makeup artist, because the created images must be fresh, relevant and fashionable. We decided to talk about this topic with famous Ukrainian makeup artists and find out what main trends they identify in eye, lip and facial makeup, as well as what shades, textures and techniques they advise to give preference to.

Leather

Fortunately, thick tones are becoming a thing of the past. The skin breathes cleanliness, there is a slight moist glow on it. I don’t know how fans of highlighters will survive this (I myself can count myself among those), but still it’s time to slow down - they should be in moderation. I recommend using cream textures instead of dry ones: they look more natural. To survive this “loss,” you should pay attention to the 2019 makeup trend like blush. Peach, apricot, coral blush is used, if possible creamy, so that you can apply it to the entire cheek, and even “accidentally” touch the temple and the area under the outer corners of the eyes. In addition, cream blush looks more natural on the skin due to its texture, they are easy to shade, and the possibility of making a mistake when applying is extremely small.

Eyes

Perhaps the most popular eyeshadow color in 2019 is different shades of green from emerald to grass. The main thing is to use an open color, do not mix, do not make complex transitions. If you don't like green, choose any other color to suit your taste. But don’t complicate it, apply it simply and without complicated transitions. This also applies to shooters. Complete democracy! Choose any color, any width and length, but the most chic thing is carelessness in application, as if you had just learned how to use eyeliner. Smokey eyes should also not be perfected. And paint your eyelashes thickly, without being afraid to stick them together, like Twiggy.

Lips

If we talk about 2019 lip makeup trends, it’s worth noting that red is here to stay, just like all its shades. But you can experiment with application methods: a clear contour or light makeup with your fingertips. A big hello from the 90s – brown lipstick. When choosing a shade, it is important to be careful not to add yellowness to your teeth. Also make sure that the lipstick has a moist, shiny finish. And if you really want to go wild, metallic, glitter, and even rhinestones are at your service! By the way, lipstick can easily replace both blush and eye shadow. Monochrome makeup in 2019 will be in demand along with nude makeup.

To summarize, you shouldn’t expect any beauty shocks this year. There are nuances, nothing more. My favorite is a slight carelessness, the feeling that the makeup was done simply, quickly and for a good mood.

The first trend that I would like to note is the effect of bare skin. We minimize the amount of foundation on the face and do not forget to hide dark circles under the eyes. Strobing has not been cancelled, but this year it will be calmer and less pretentious. I recommend using fine textures to create it. The skin becomes more matte, and blush is the king of this season. Peach or berry blush applied to bare skin will help create a fresh and flattering look in any situation.

Eyebrows and eyes

Also in trend will be the most natural eyebrows without clear boundaries and contours. We put the wax and tweezers aside, and reduce eyebrow makeup to a couple of steps - combing with a brush and fixing with gel. Eye makeup in 2019 can and should be diversified with colored shadows, but they should be applied only to the moving eyelid. The most current shades will be: turquoise, light green, blue and lilac. The trick of 2019 will be white shining shadows in the inner corners of the eyes. Even arrows are not giving up their positions in makeup in 2019. They become even wider and more graphic. To create a spectacular evening makeup, dark smokey in grunge style would be appropriate. Imperfect shading and the effect of yesterday's makeup remain in trend.

Lips

Slight negligence is also welcome in lip makeup. A fuzzy, blurry outline will add playfulness to the look, and it’s time to replace matte lipsticks with glossy and metallic ones. Red lip lovers, rejoice! Classic red does not give up its positions. It will compete with brown lipstick, which recently appeared in our cosmetic bags. Bold chocolate and coffee shades will perfectly highlight the look and will be an excellent replacement for purple tones.

New trends are aimed at saving our time; with their help, makeup will take no more than 15 minutes. Makeup in 2019 should be light and careless, because filigree is no longer in fashion.

It will be especially fashionable to highlight the inner corners of the eyes with white color (I prefer creamy textures in a champagne shade). This year, shading is useful only for smokey eyes, since the number of colors in one makeup is reduced to a minimum. But if you want something brighter, highlight your eyes with rich shades of yellow, orange and purple.

I finally waited for glued eyelashes to be in fashion! I wore my makeup like this five years ago and hoped that it would become a trend. Yes, in 2019 we remove eyelash extensions and apply generous amounts of mascara to natural eyelashes, creating the effect of sticky eyelashes, like after taking a shower. Eyebrows this year should be as natural as possible, which means no tattooing or painting over the shape with one color (especially black and gray). Draw in the missing hairs: for this, there are thin markers that will help create a natural effect.

Lips

Evening makeup is distinguished by an emphasis on the lips, and you can use not only the usual red and cherry shades of lipstick, but also dark green, orange and purple! A non-standard and unexpected lipstick color is a bright makeup trend in 2019 and a great reason to experiment with different shades.
