Today I want to talk about a haircut that has long ceased to be a strict office hairstyle. Now she is chosen by both supporters of elegance and mystery, as well as daring, daring ladies. And for teenagers, this is an ideal way of self-expression, if you also add a couple of colored strands or “play” with bangs.

This haircut is a bob. A haircut that many people want to try, but are afraid or think it won't work. And there are many contradictions in it.

I always spend a lot of time on consultations. Often clients come to us with a photo from Instagram and ask us to repeat the same thing on their hair. But clients don’t know whether it will suit them or not. Let me remind you who the bob haircut is suitable for.

You need to start from the shape of your face, which can be oval, square, round, rhombus, heart. A bob haircut is ideal for those with normal thickness, straight, healthy hair and an oval face shape. All types of bobs are suitable for an oval face shape.

Long face shape. You have to be careful here. You can cut short bobs and small, straight bangs to reduce the length of your face.

For a square face shape, you can choose a slightly elongated bob, with a side parting or bangs.

Round face shape. Again, you have to be careful here too. Never cut a straight bob or straight bangs along the jawline. Here you need an elongated bob or bob with French bangs.

For a diamond shape, you can cut a graduated bob, a cascading bob and experiment with varieties of bangs.

For a “heart” shape, you can use a bob line to complement the low, narrow part of the face; I would not recommend bangs here.
