Bob haircut: what types are there?
Let's briefly look at all types
In this material we will look at the most common and popular types of bob haircuts.
In 2020, the bob became the most popular women's haircut. Many clients during lockdowns decided to experiment - try this haircut. And, probably, the most common were the classic bob (with and without bangs) and the elongated bob.
Let's move on directly to the most common types of bob haircuts.
Classic bob
The most famous and understandable type of square. The classic version provides a straight hair cut line and a closed nape. In this case, the cut line can go at an angle from the back strands to the front strands, but it is still smooth.
It is performed without graduation and is suitable for clients with thick and medium-thick hair. When cutting, the first strand of the occipital zone sets the length of the entire bob haircut.
Elongated bob
The shape of an elongated bob is clear, and the essence is that the hair is cut shorter at the back (which creates volume), and the front strands at the temples are much longer, and they frame the face.
Graduated square
With a graduated bob, hair cutting is performed using a graduation technique, in which strands are cut at a certain angle and a smooth transition is created from shorter to longer hair.
Kare on a leg
This is a haircut when the areas of the back of the head and the rest of the hair are not brought together: a very short or shaved back of the head, and on top there is a rounded “hat” with an extension towards the face. Due to the contrast of length and clear lines, this haircut looks creative and extravagant.
Asymmetrical bob
The asymmetrical bob is based on the classic women's bob haircut. The main feature is smooth edges and a clear shape. Asymmetry is created by shortening or lengthening the strands near the face, on the back of the head or on the sides, as well as by changing the proportions of the bangs.
Bob bob
This option is similar to the classic bob, but differs in that the haircut is angled, that is, the hair in front is longer than in the back. In this case, the cut should be parallel to the line of the lower part of the face. Sometimes a cascade is mixed with this form.
Double square
A double bob is a two-level haircut in which the bottom layer of hair is significantly longer than the top. Moreover, the geometry of both levels in the classic version is the same: the lines of the upper strands repeat the cut of the lower layer. This technique allows you to add volume to your hair if your hair is thin, as well as make the haircut more dynamic.
