The role of laser devices in the treatment of vascular formations on the face and body
Ways to remove dilated capillaries and redness
Vascular stars, the telangiectatic form of rosacea, is a common problem faced by dermatologists and cosmetologists in their work.
Vascular lesions are formed as a result of damaged or dilated blood vessels on the surface of the skin. They are visible to the naked eye due to the thinner connective tissue that is characteristic of reddened skin. Before the advent of laser surgery, there was no promising treatment, and such patients could not be helped. Today, in most cases, the only effective way to remove dilated capillaries and redness is a laser.
In addition to telangiectatic erythematous forms of rosacea, there are a number of skin vascular formations that reduce the quality of life, create cosmetic problems, physical and psychological discomfort in everyday life, in particular, superficial hemangiomas, congenital and acquired poikiloderma, post-traumatic telangiectasia (PWS), vascular nevi, malformations, telangiectasia of hormonal origin, telangiectasia with varicose veins, etc.
Standard "vascular" lasers include pulsed dye lasers (PDL) with wavelengths of 585 and 595 nm, KTP lasers - 532 nm, alexandrite lasers - 755 nm, diode lasers - 800-983 nm, Nd:Y nm, and sources of intense pulsed radiation (IPL) - 500-1200 nm.
