For a whole year, we "cast a spell" on the skin of our patients, preserving its youth, beauty and health. And now, under the influence of excessive insolation, the achieved results can be leveled. The negative effects of sunburn are one of the most common problems. So maybe you should warn your patients about this danger while there is still time?

Sunburn is one of those photodermatoses with which patients most often consult a cosmetologist. This is a simple dermatitis that occurs in response to exposure to natural (sun) or artificial (solarium) ultraviolet radiation.

Sunburn can be obtained at any latitude. The native population of tropical countries gets used to the sun from childhood, so it is extremely rare to get such injuries. On the other hand, Europeans who come on vacation to sunny countries and spend a lot of time on the beach are more likely to suffer from sunburn - especially people with thin white skin (Fitzpatrick skin types I and II) who don't tan at all or tan very hard.

Sunburn can be characterized by varying degrees of skin damage.
