What is more important – safety or efficiency?

Methods for removing unwanted hair are divided into temporary (waxing, sugaring, shaving, and other types of depilation) and permanent (electroepilation, laser epilation, and photoepilation).

Having examined in detail the pathological conditions of hair growth, let's talk about laser hair removal as one of the methods of removing unwanted hair.

The main target of laser hair removal is melanin, which absorbs radiation in the range of 250-1200 nm, as a result of which it heats up to 60-70°C, which causes damage to the cells in which it is contained and the neighboring cells of the germinal zone, which have not yet had time to accumulate it in sufficient quantities. This leads to the destruction of the cells of the germinal zone of the hair, as a result of which hair growth stops.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to heat the hair to 70°C so that it is absolutely painless, so effective permanent hair removal cannot be perfectly comfortable. For this purpose, various methods of cooling the skin are used: cryogen, cold air flow and contact cooling. Of the above methods, the most effective is contact cooling before, during and after the laser flash. The presence of a scanner allows you to perform the procedure faster and better.
