Postacne occurs as a result of destructive inflammation in the dermis. Scar formation depends on many factors: skin type, intensity of inflammation, prevalence of the process, etc. We learn about postacne treatment methods
Acne is one of the most common diseases of the skin (sebaceous glands and hair follicles), which affects up to 95% of the population of civilized countries in one form or another during their lifetime. After the period of acne, there is a state of post-inflammatory changes in the skin - post-acne, which is characterized by enlarged pores, persistent erythema and dilated capillaries, stagnant spots, hyper- and depigmentation, scars, uneven skin texture.
The degree of severity of postacne manifestations depends on many factors, such as the age of the patient, timeliness of treatment, severe forms of inflammatory elements and the duration of the pathological process. Post-inflammatory skin changes bother most patients no less than acne manifestations, they are quite difficult to correct, require treatment and often remain for a long time.
Types of postakne
Postacne is a complex of cosmetic defects of the skin, which is a consequence of acne, as well as unqualified influence on them during attempts at self-treatment. Postakne includes:
- enlarged pores;
- persistent erythema and persistent dilation of capillaries;
- post-inflammatory hyper- and depigmentation;
- scars;
- uneven skin texture.
