When the cosmetologist and the patient are far from each other, what can the doctor offer to his patients in order to support the effect obtained in the office? As part of the project "Stress Defense. Ukrainian recipe" let's talk about carboxytherapy.

Carboxytherapy is an innovative method of rejuvenating the epidermis based on the properties of carbon dioxide. During the procedure, carbon dioxide is injected into the skin, and in response to the excess CO2 in the tissues, a large amount of oxygen is delivered to the lesion. This activates local blood flow, cellular metabolism and collagen synthesis. The procedure improves the condition of the skin and helps with various dermatological diseases, including couperosis, acne, psoriasis, etc.

The basis of the carboxytherapy method is the well-known principle - the Bohr effect, according to which an increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide in the tissues leads to an increase in the absorption of oxygen from the blood by the tissues.
