Old new carboxytherapy: combination with other procedures
How effective is the carboxytherapy method?
Let's talk about a painless and safe non-surgical therapeutic technique based on the subcutaneous injection of carbon dioxide (CO2) - a substance naturally produced by the human body, and therefore very well tolerated by the body - carboxytherapy.
The method of carboxytherapy, widely advertised recently in the professional and consumer press, is not so new, because the use of carbon dioxide in medicine is more than a century old. Carbon dioxide baths, carbonated mineral waters, which are used in the treatment of various diseases: pulmonary, cardiovascular, nervous system, etc., have been known for a long time.
Injection of carbon dioxide is also a development of not the last few years. Back in the 1930s, French doctors invented the technique of insufflation (subcutaneous injection of pure carbon dioxide) to treat patients with peripheral vascular disease.
The use of carbon dioxide in medicine is based on its ability to stimulate local blood circulation and tissue perfusion, to increase the supply of oxygen to tissues due to the strengthening of capillary blood circulation.
