Adolescent acne: pathogenetic factors of development
Acne is the main reason for teenagers to consult a dermatocosmetologist
In order to effectively interact with teenagers suffering from acne, a dermatocosmetologist must know everything about this disease. How acne manifests itself and what forms it can take, what is its pathophysiology, etc. - we will consider in the article.
Acne is a chronic disease with a clinically benign course in most cases, but it has a particularly strong psychological impact on teenagers, who enter the critical period of life, when the child's body undergoes many hormonal changes. This creates a series of mixed feelings in the teenager, which destabilize and generate self-doubt, which are difficult to manage.
When, together with psychological transformations, unaesthetic skin pathology appears, in particular, acne, teenagers may be prone to a completely non-childish disease, the name of which is depression.
Juvenile acne is the most common form of acne. And it is very important to take this disease seriously, because it needs timely treatment. Teenagers are especially infuriated when adults try to prove to them that this is a normal skin condition, saying that it will disappear after a while, you just need to be patient. Research shows that teenagers with acne have exaggerated perceptions of the severity of their condition compared to the objective opinion of a dermatologist.
