The unique Ultra Flat needle, invented by PM master Roman Klosovsky, has already earned the trust of many experts and will certainly interest you, dear readers. The author himself tells about how to work with it using the “hairs” technique.

The long-awaited moment has come when I am ready to introduce you to my creation. But in the preface I want to tell a little about myself and about the path I went through.

My name is Roman Klosovsky, today I am an international master teacher in permanent makeup with over 12 years of experience and a leading speaker at congresses around the world in this field.

My path to the profession began a long time ago, back in my youth, when a tattoo machine fell into my hands. Then, as a 17-year-old teenager, I graduated from art school and drew quite well. At first I didn’t plan to make money with this, but, as you may have guessed, the hobby became a profession. So I became a tattoo artist. I grew as a craftsman and artist, mastered new styles and practiced a lot. Even today I sometimes pick up a tattoo machine and work on the body, but this is already more of a hobby.

How I got into the profession

With the advent and increased popularity of permanent makeup, many of my acquaintances began to wonder if I perform this procedure. Naturally, curiosity took over, I began to collect information about a new direction for myself. At that time, there were not so many masters in Ukraine, and even more so schools where they taught this art and shared information, so the necessary knowledge had to be collected bit by bit. My first teachers were Anna Savina and Anna Zabolotnaya, they shared their experience and told the basics of the procedure, its contraindications and other nuances. From the first days of work, I have been using the apparatus and pigments from Biotek.

Of course, as a man, I had to go through makeup training from scratch. Having an artistic base, I mastered makeup pretty quickly. Along the way, he received a basic medical education.

Already having a proper knowledge base, I started working in the field of permanent makeup. And the deeper I delved into its features, the more I liked it. I plunged headlong into work and did not notice how seven years had flown by. During this time, I mastered the tool and technique well, but there was a milestone when I didn’t have enough satisfied customers and my own opinion - I needed the opinion of my colleagues. I made a decision to participate in permanent makeup championships.

After several victories, including in Serbia, I was invited to read a short report at the congress in Greece. My report made a good impression and contained a lot of interesting information (based on feedback from colleagues), and I realized that I have knowledge that I can share. So I became part of the Biotek speaker team.

"Ultra Flat": uniqueness and advantages

While experimenting with creating perfect hairs, I noticed a number of advantages in working with flat needles and began to improve this technique. As a result, my invention was born in the form of a flat rounded needle, which I called "Ultra Flat". It allows you to achieve perfect hair in a few strokes, as well as to make a great shading in seconds.

I have found my way and I am proud to be an international permanent makeup speaker and judge, as well as a teacher of the author's U-Flat technique around the world. And this is just the beginning!

"Ultra Flat" - a new generation needle, is a complex of needles with a diameter of 0.18 mm, arranged in a semicircle and located in the same plane (photo 1).

With this needle, you can perform both thin, even lines and a shadow. Ideal for making hair.

Before performing the permanent makeup procedure, you need to fill out a client card and take several photos of him without makeup (photo 2).

Then we proceed to the selection of the form and drawing a sketch (photo 3).

For accuracy and symmetry, you can use special rulers or a Fibonacci compass. It would also be useful to mark the center between the eyebrows and the peak of the ascending angles, and then apply an anesthetic cream for 10-15 minutes (photo 4).

At this time, the master can choose the color scheme for making hairs (photo 5).

After the basic preparations, you can proceed directly to the procedure.

When using a needle, it is worth remembering how many basic rules:

• to make hairs, it is necessary to use creamy pigments; it is not recommended to use very thick or liquid pigments;
• it is necessary to collect the pigment with the handpiece engine turned off;
• the amount of pigment in the work should be minimal;
• inclination to the impact surface – from 45 to 60°;
• the needle during operation should be parallel along the hairline.

The course of the procedure

Stage 1 . We fix the sketch with the help of short hairs along the contour of the shape of the eyebrows (photo 6). The movement can be performed both from oneself and towards oneself. The work should be carried out in blocks, dividing the eyebrow conditionally into several zones. We form the shape on both eyebrows.

Stage 2 . We fill the middle of the eyebrow with hairs in the form of the styling we have chosen in advance (photo 7). As a rule, the growth of the client's hairs tells us the direction of the installation of permanent hairs.

Hair styling is a very creative process and is limited only by the master's imagination, but there are a few unchanging rules:

• the hairs should be at a distance from each other, you should avoid applying a large number of hairs;
• docking of hairs is desirable at the smallest degree to each other, and no "fish bones" - only smoothed lines!

Stage 3 . Duplicate some hair lines again for color saturation (photo 8). This stage is very important for the formation of color and density of the eyebrows. The movements by which the work is done should be smooth and slow, you can use reciprocating repetitions when moving forward.

At the end of the procedure, I recommend lifting the client up and looking at the work done to make sure the result is symmetrical.

Make adjustments if necessary.

Working with an Ultra Flat needle gives a lot of advantages in applying hairs. The lines are smooth and uniform, with a thin beginning and a thin tail of the hair, which gives a natural result. The result is an expressive hair in 1-2 passes. The application procedure is absolutely non-traumatic and stays on the skin for more than one year, depending on the color and density of the pigment application.
