Correction of the shape and volume of the lips with the help of permanent makeup is a very popular and demanded procedure. Do you want your client not only to be delighted with her new image, but also to look individual, different from other women with PM lips? Then offer her this wonderful technique
The constant growth of competition among PM masters and the increase in their level of skill is a distinctive feature in the development of the permanent makeup industry today. The beauty industry is developing at a rapid pace, and more and more often you can hear such phrases as "new application technique", "author's technique", "modern trends". Today we will talk about another novelty in the world of permanent makeup.
The term "ombre" (other names are "degrade", "gradient") means a smooth transition from one color to another. This technique has been used for a long time in different directions - in hairdressing, in manicure, even in the creation of clothing collections. But regarding the lips, it can be called innovative. As it turned out, a smooth gradation of shades from dark to light can look spectacular not only on hair or nails. Ombre lip makeup appeared relatively recently, at one of the fashion shows, and, having stepped off the catwalks, won the hearts of many fashionistas. Lips in the style of "ombre" - this is a beauty innovation, a new trend in makeup, which makeup artists began to use willingly. Many movie stars and show business use it in makeup.
From catwalks ⎼ to faces
To create an ombre-style lip makeup, the principle of color transition is used: the inside of the lips is made lighter, and the darkest shade is applied to the contour. Thanks to the ombre technique, the lips look more plump, expressive. Color transitions immediately draw attention to them.
The beauty industry does not stand still, and permanent makeup masters have borrowed this technique from their fellow makeup artists. The only difference from the usual make-up, which is evening, thematic, stage, etc., combining a variety of shades (lilac, yellow, gold), lips ombre permanent make-up is more restrained in color and more like a daytime make-up. On the catwalks and glossy photographs, the technique looks great, but whether it will be possible to repeat it on our own depends on us.
The main distinguishing feature of lips ombre is a clear contour and well-defined color gradation. I recommend combining two colors, although more shades can be used - it all depends on skill and preference. It is advisable to take colors that harmoniously combine only a few shades. This will make the gradient transition as smooth as possible. This technique is well suited for those who want to visually increase the volume of the lips, make them voluminous and seductive, without resorting to more radical means.
Procedure steps
Let's take a look at the step-by-step implementation of this application technique.
So, we will need:
- apparatus for applying permanent makeup;
- two sets of needles (modules) ⎼1R, 3RS;
- two shades of color ⎼ dark and light;
- anesthetic and other consumables.
Let's start with the outline. To do this, we take a needle (module) 1R and very carefully reciprocating movements we pass along the outer border of our sketch of the lips (Fig. 1). Do not forget about skin tension.
The outer contour is made using a darker shade, and the central part is made lighter. This technique of application allows you to most effectively emphasize the volume. There is also a reverse gradient, when the contour is lighter than the central part of the lips, this technique is used to visually reduce the volume.
After completing the contour, we move on to shading. We change the needle (module) 1R to 3RS and stretch the color from the contour to the center of the lips in the same color as the contour. With methodical movements we fill the corners of the lips, and then the pre-contour zone (Fig. 2).
The movement by which the shading is performed is called “pendulum”. The technique got its name because the trajectory along which the needle moves is exactly like the movement of a pendulum. The final stage of the pendulum is important: where the needle leaves the skin, it must pass a little more intensively in order to create a shadow effect. The task of such shading is to create the same gradient, the transition from dark to light.
The next step will be shading with a light shade. When performing it, we step on the previously applied pigment in order to obtain smoothness in the transition of shades from dark to light (Fig. 3).
Here, in fact, is the whole application procedure. The main thing is an even and clear lip contour along with a smooth color transition.
In conclusion, I would like to recall the words of the world expert in the field of psychology of success Brian Tracy: “Do what you like to do, and with all your heart strive to achieve perfection in this matter.”
