Camouflage dark circles or “bruises” under the eyes with makeup is a very difficult task. Few people are happy with the prospect of daily solving the problem of dark circles by painting over problem areas.

Almost every person at least once in his life faced such a problem as the appearance of dark circles or “bruises” under the eyes. Women who are familiar with the problem firsthand know that camouflaging bruises with makeup is a very difficult task. Naturally, few people are happy with the prospect of daily solving the problem of dark circles by painting over problem areas.

Modern cosmetology gives women a great chance to avoid time-consuming daily procedures and look comme il faut (“as it should” - French) at the same time. Currently, there is a unique opportunity to hide dark circles under the eyes with the help of permanent makeup or tattooing.

Time spares no one. One day you look in the mirror and see the face of a strange person, with all those wrinkles, dark circles around the eyes or bags under the eyes. Of course, you don't want to have anything to do with this old man. And you go to the master of permanent makeup, wondering if he will return your beauty to you.

In the meantime, about everything in order. This article sheds light on some of the skin conditions associated with aging and the possible impact of micropigmentation on them.

Bags under the eyes is the mildest form of a condition called periorbital puffiness, and formally it is swelling around the eyes. Some degree of this may be hereditary and congenital, while another is a signal of unwanted changes in the functioning of the body.

Causes of bags under the eyes include:

  • early stages of diseases;
  • lack of sleep or its poor quality;
  • cry;
  • allergy;
  • malnutrition;
  • alcohol and tobacco use;
  • fluid retention (which occurs for various reasons - for example, due to hormonal fluctuations, menstruation, etc.);
  • natural aging.

Features of permanent makeup in the eye area

Most often, bags under the eyes are accompanied by dark circles and require an integrated approach. Micropigmentation can provide a reliable solution to both problems, but must be done with great care because the skin under the eyes is much thinner than the skin on the face. In fact, there are extremely opposing opinions about micropigmentation of bags and dark circles under the eyes. Some PM masters are convinced that patients with this disease are not suitable for micropigmentation, while others speak of the many advantages of the procedure to cover up this deficiency.

For those artists who dare to perform this procedure, it is important to choose the right anesthetic, as the area under the eyes is extremely sensitive. The PM master must also make sure that the anesthetic cream used does not cause irritation and will not cause allergies in the patient, since the area is in close proximity to the mucous membrane of the eye.

The procedure consists in introducing a corrective shade pigment into the skin layer, which is selected depending on the skin tone in the problem area.

Thus, yellowish areas of the skin are masked by purple hues, blue by peach, purple by beige, and dark brownish-greenish by pink. However, this does not apply to permanent make-up under the eyes. In this case, PM practitioners tend to use ivory, and sometimes, if the patient has blue or purple circles, mix it with yellow shades, and this is also a good idea. The thickness of the skin under the eyes is about 0.3–0.4 mm. Therefore, the depth of application must be kept to a minimum to ensure good pigment retention.

The healing process after the procedure is slow - due to the high sensitivity of the skin - and usually takes about a week. Patients should avoid direct sunlight and protect their skin with UV filter creams designed specifically for this purpose.
