It is worth noting that anesthesia began to be used in the 19th century, so this is far from a newfangled invention. True, the most popular pain reliever today, lidocaine, was discovered only in 1944. Prior to this, many scientists worked tirelessly to create a low-toxic effective anesthetic.

Since permanent makeup artists are more interested in superficial application anesthesia, let's talk about it. Advantages of surface anesthesia:

• Always do an allergy test. Ideally, one day before the procedure, although this is often not convenient. But at least immediately before the procedure, apply an anesthetic first on the wrist to assess the reaction of the skin.
