Let's understand: the main types of nail modeling
With and without forms
What types of nail modeling exist, what are their advantages and when to use them - we will tell you in the material.
Nail modeling is a complex procedure, during which you must follow all the rules. Every detail, even unnoticeable at first glance, has its significance. The technology is designed in such a way that each next stage of the procedure logically follows from the previous one, therefore, when modeling nails, it is important to take everything into account, especially the choice of the type of this procedure.
Modeling on lower forms
The most common type of nail modeling is on lower forms (special paper or plastic templates). The form is placed under the free edge of the natural nail, and the selected material is laid out on it. The approximate shape and length are immediately set, then the material is polymerized in a lamp. Only after this can the template be removed and the nail plate filed and sanded.
Lower forms are usually classified in two ways: disposable and reusable. Their special convenience lies in the fact that they can be adjusted individually to the shape of the nail and its width. The former are usually cheaper and are thrown away after one use. They can be adjusted individually to the shape of the nail and its width. Reusable forms are slightly more expensive than disposable ones and require disinfection after each use.
Modeling on upper forms
In this case, special plastic or silicone molds are used, which are attached to the nail plate using gel or acrylic. The form adheres to the nail for some time, then the material polymerizes. After this, the template must be removed and the free edge of the nail given the desired shape.
The choice of upper forms for the modeling procedure should be based on taking into account the characteristics of their bending and the future shape of the nail itself. The upper forms are templates that are a reusable tool, but at the same time they have their own shelf life and become unusable after the final loss of shape and change in bending.
There are two types of top forms - with markings that facilitate the workflow, and without them. It is important to consider that markings on forms can be in the form of arc-shaped stripes or a grid. Marking lines make it easier to align the length and correct the free edge. When choosing upper forms, you should pay attention to the fact that the inside of high-quality templates must have the same arch height and be free of visible defects.
Nail modeling without forms
This type of modeling is good only if there is no way to use classic templates, for example, after a nail injury or for some other reason. Using improvised objects as forms, such as a napkin or a piece of plastic, is unprofessional and does not make sense.
