Blush: a delicate beauty trend of 2019
More freshness
Natural makeup with blush is a clear trend for 2019. What textures to give preference to, how to choose a natural shade and correctly apply products to create a blush, says Olesya Koryakina.
Blush is back among the top facial makeup trends of 2019 , and not taking advantage of it is a real crime. Blush allows you to give your face a fresh look, makes it look younger, more beautiful and more harmonious, and at the same time fits perfectly into the concept of fashionable natural makeup. Top makeup artists recommend not passing by this trend and even replacing it with the excessive love for highlighters, which are slowing down a bit this year. Peach, pink or coral blush applied to bare or lightly powdered skin will help create a fresh look that is appropriate for any situation. The main thing is not to overdo it and to convey a delicate shade to the skin that will imitate the natural blush as much as possible. We draw inspiration from the latest shows of Balmain, Giorgio Armani, Simone Rocha, Prada, Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana, where makeup artists used just a drop of blush to refresh the models' makeup. To figure out which blush to give preference to, how to choose the perfect shade and how to apply this cosmetic product, we turned to makeup artist and makeup artist Olesya Koryakina .

Types of blush by texture
Dry blush. Suitable for any skin, but most of all oily. Apply with a brush, blend easily, apply in an even thin layer and last a long time. Cream blush. Ideal for dry and mature skin, as they contain moisturizing and oil components. Apply with your fingers and lay down in a dense layer; they need good shading. Blush with shimmer. An evening make-up product that adds radiance. Apply not only to the apples of the cheeks, but also to the forehead, the area above the upper lip and the inner corners of the eyes.
How to choose a natural shade of blush?
If you want to give your face a fresh look with blush, choose shades no darker than your client's skin color. Warm peach shades suit girls with golden hair and peach skin; others should choose cooler shades of pink. You can focus on the natural color of your lips and choose a blush that is close to it in shade. If you use rich lipstick textures, then it is advisable to match the shade of blush (or shade the same lipstick on your cheeks).
Combination of blush and lipstick
It is important to remember one of the basic rules of makeup - the shade of blush should ideally match the tone of the lipstick. If you have no experience, it is better to follow the following rules:
- For red lipstick, choose a red or pink blush.
- To complement lipstick in coral or apricot colors - peach blush.
- Only pink blush goes with pink lipstick.
- For brown lipstick, you should choose a bronze blush.
How to apply blush correctly?
It is best to apply blush to the apples of your cheeks that protrude when you smile, then blend gently to make the blush look as natural as possible. In practice, you need to do this - ask the girl to smile widely (but naturally). The facial movement highlights the contour of the cheekbones, where blush should be applied. If you use a special brush to apply blush, then you need to continuously move it up and down. This way you get an even layer. If a sponge is used, the movements should be circular.
