Beauty guru advises: recipe for perfect makeup from Lisa Elridge
On a note
Lisa Elridge is the creative director of Lancome and one of the most influential makeup artists in the world. Therefore, we simply could not ignore her advice.
Perfect tone
To ensure that your foundation applies perfectly, use a primer every time you apply makeup. It helps to even out the texture, makes pores and other unevenness invisible, and significantly extends the life of makeup. If there are pigment spots, blackheads or other imperfections on the skin, do not rush to use a dense tone. To begin, use a small brush and concealer to go over all problem areas and blend the beauty product well. Only then choose a foundation , because its main task is to even out the tone, and not to hide imperfections.
Natural eyebrows
Lisa Elridge always follows trends, moreover, she sets them! We advise you to listen to the makeup artist’s advice and finally forget about overpainted and too clear eyebrows when the client’s real hairs are not visible. Try to color your eyebrows as naturally and naturally as possible so that they look light and do not overload the entire image.
Smoky eyes
For this well-loved look, Lisa likes to use a chocolate-colored eyeshadow all the way up to the outer corner of the eye. The makeup artist applies shadows of a deep gray shade to the crease of the upper eyelid and along the growth line of the lower eyelashes to create that same haze and make the look more expressive. Along the upper eyelashes along the growth line, Lisa applies rich black shadows, finishing her eye makeup with a thick layer of mascara.
Luxury arrows
Lisa points out that it is extremely important to carefully paint the distance between the eyelashes with a pencil - you cannot miss a single eyelash! Don't worry if the first line doesn't look quite straight. Only then draw the line again to create a beautiful arrow . Don’t forget to outline the mucous membrane with a smoky pencil. A generous amount of mascara will help complete your eye makeup.
Long curved eyelashes
Luxurious long eyelashes with a beautiful curve are every girl’s dream. If nature did not reward your client or model with such a gift, it is easy and simple to correct the situation with the help of makeup. On the advice of makeup artist Lisa Elridge, do not forget to use a curler before applying mascara - it takes a minimal amount of time, but what a result! Apply mascara starting from the very roots - this trick will lift your eyelashes and fix the result for the whole day. Otherwise, the main amount of mascara will end up on the tips of the eyelashes, which does not look at all aesthetically pleasing.
Refreshing blush
Apply blush to the upper cheeks to brighten your complexion and give it a healthy appearance. Lisa advises stretching the product towards the temples to visually lengthen and “lift” the face. Remember to blend the blush well to avoid leaving any marks on your skin. When the makeup is ready, go over the entire face with a large brush, which is sure to blur all the lines. Experiment - use several shades of blush in one makeup, draping with them and even applying them to your eyelids.
Bright lips
A rich shade of lipstick is a small detail that makes a girl more confident. Pay special attention to the client's lips if she wants to focus on them. Lisa advises not to limit yourself to the shades that are in your case - feel free to mix them together to get the desired color. After you have applied the lipstick, Lisa recommends lightly blending it with your fingers, and then placing a tissue on your lips - it will absorb the excess oily texture of the lipstick, including removing oily shine.
