An eyelash curler is a must-have in every makeup artist's case, because with its help you can give your eyelashes the desired curl and visually lift them, making your eyes more expressive.

What is an eyelash curler?

A curler or eyelash curler is a metal beauty tool with two plates curved to the shape of eyelashes, soft rubber linings on them and handles. After using the curler, the eyelashes become curved and slightly raised at the roots, which gives the look an attractiveness and a certain coquetry. Immediately after curling, you need to apply mascara so that it fixes the curl until the eyelashes droop again. An eyelash curler is an indispensable tool in every makeup artist’s arsenal, allowing you to quickly and easily make your eyelashes more beautiful, especially if they are drooping or looking straight. In this case, the curler will save the situation, and the eye makeup will look luxurious as a result.

Types of eyelash curlers, and how to choose the perfect tool?

Eyelash clips can be large or small in size. The large curlers that we are used to seeing are designed to curl the entire row of eyelashes. Small - for curling only the outer corners. Miniature tweezers are ideal for local curling in the outer corners of the eyes. Please note that the curler must be made of metal, and the plates must have rubber inserts, otherwise you will only harm the client’s eyelashes. You shouldn't buy the cheapest models - it's better to choose a tool that will last you for years. It is very important to consider the rigidity of the rubber inserts. Curlers with soft linings are better at curling “dense” eyelashes, while those with harder linings are better at curling “thick” eyelashes. It is desirable that the rubber inserts are removable - this will allow them to be cleaned regularly and not cause infection in the girl’s eyes. As soon as they deteriorate or become sticky, they should be replaced with new ones. Before this, we only talked about mechanical curlers, but the beauty market also offers us electric models - due to heating, they curl eyelashes like a curling iron. These curlers are suitable for “dense” and voluminous eyelashes, as well as straight and downward lashes, which a conventional curler does not handle well enough. If you are looking for the best eyelash curler among thermal curlers, pay attention to the temperature control feature. Be careful, if you leave your eyelashes in these curlers too long, they will simply burn them. Types of eyelash curlers

How to use a curler?

First of all, you need to lift the eyelashes at the roots, so we grab them with a curler at the very base. Position the forceps so that the upper plate is adjacent to the upper eyelid, and the lower one is located at the roots, but at the same time does not touch the skin. Close the tongs, but do not press them too hard. After 10 seconds, release the plates. Lift the eyelash curler higher and press down again. Continue up the lash line all the way to the tips. There can be from three to six compressions in total, depending on the desired result. Don't forget that the ends of the eyelashes are the most fragile, so ease the pressure. Finally, press your eyelashes at the roots again and immediately apply mascara - this will help fix the result for several hours. We told you earlier how to properly paint eyelashes with mascara . For more impressive results, lightly warm the metal base of the tongs with a hairdryer or running hot water. Make sure that the curler is not too hot to the touch, so as not to burn the sensitive mucous membrane of the eye.
