The qualifying round of the Ukrainian Championship in hairdressing, makeup and nail aesthetics took place in Odessa

On May 15–17, the Open qualifying round of the Ukrainian Championship in hairdressing, nail aesthetics and makeup – the Championship of the South of Ukraine “Odessa Cup 2019” took place in Odessa.

How it was?

A few days ago, in sunny Odessa on the seashore, the Qualifying Championship of Ukraine, for which the participants had been waiting and preparing for so long, ended. This is a serious and responsible step for the beauty industry. After all, it is during the championship movement that a specialist has the opportunity to demonstrate his skills and compete outside his comfort zone with colleagues in the workshop. This year, on the first two days, nail technicians tried their hand at the field, and on the third day, hairdressers, barbers and makeup artists showed what a real fight for the championship is like. It should be noted that the competition was really hot! The Championship judges tried their best to honestly and objectively evaluate their young colleagues so that the beauty industry would recognize new faces.

“We need to participate in championships. First: to get out of the comfort zone, which often hinders the growth of some masters! Second: for self-realization. Third: to improve your skills, because preparation before the event itself gives a lot. Well, the adrenaline that we get during the Championship is like a drug!” – Sergey Zima, judge of the Ukrainian Championship, international-level master hairdresser.

“I personally consider participation in the Championship to be a mandatory criterion for the development of nail service professionals. Championships strengthen the spirit, the desire to win forces every master to develop and grow. After the Championship, absolutely everyone works cleaner, better, faster,” Anna Avramenko, international nail judge. Based on the results of three days, 58 people took first place, 56 participants took second place, and 47 took honorable third place. Such numbers are impressive! After all, all first place holders automatically become participants in the main Kyiv Ukrainian Championship, which will take place in November of this year. The organizers of the competition, the Estet group of companies and the Association of Beauty Championships (ABC), congratulate everyone on this big step forward and the results of the work that each master has done. The general partners of the Odessa Championship were the NUB, Komilfo and MilanoCosmetic brands. The championship was held as part of the International Specialized Exhibition “Beauty Technologies - XXI Century”, organized by the ExpoYugService company.
