Skincare Timeline: when to expect results from skincare?
Tips for beauticians and reminders for clients

Skincare results don’t come overnight, and as estheticians, we need to be the ones to honestly explain this to our clients. This column provides a rough “timeline” of how skin reacts to different types of cosmetics. It will help you not only to properly assess the effectiveness of your treatments and home care, but also to set realistic expectations when communicating with your clients.
Instant Effects
Some cosmetics give a visual result almost immediately after application. This is important for creating a “wow effect”, but it is worth warning clients: such products are not therapeutic, but aesthetic, with a short-term effect.
After 2 weeks
This is a critical time to assess the tolerability of the product. If no allergic or sensitive reactions have occurred within 14 days, it is highly likely that they will not occur in the future. However, it is too early to assess the effectiveness.
Advice to a cosmetologist: at this stage, it is worth confirming the absence of negative reactions and supporting the client's motivation - changes are still ahead.
