S Congress: how the most grandiose medical congress went
On October 6–7, a grand event for doctors of aesthetic medicine took place in Kyiv. One of the goals of the event is to introduce the largest medical community, Secret, to each other offline. Doctors Only.
On October 6–7, a grandiose event for doctors of aesthetic medicine took place in Kyiv, which brought together 1,600 participants under the roof of the Parkovy Convention and Exhibition Center, united by the goal of introducing the largest medical community, Secret, to each other offline. Doctors Only, gain new knowledge and spend time in the company of friends and like-minded people!
For the first time in Ukraine, the congress program was formed not by one scientific director, but by a whole committee of international experts: Lee Walker (Great Britain), Alexander Turkevich (Ukraine), Irina Khrustaleva (Russia), Hassan Galadari (UAE), Alisa Sharova (Russia), Thomas Rapple (Austria), Sergey Shelekhov (Kazakhstan). In addition, the program was also influenced by the expert council, which included Elena Razumovskaya (Russia), Salvatore Fundaro (Italy), Anna Reznik (Russia), Natalia Markova (Czech Republic), Evgeniy Eroshkin (Ukraine), Anna Funikova (Ukraine) and Egor Kolodchenko (Ukraine), thanks to which participants could choose the most interesting reports for themselves in four halls of the scientific program.
The scientific program in the Workshop Hall was presented with theoretical reports and live demos in the following sessions: “Evidence-based medicine. Research results as an indicator of effectiveness”, “Innovations in the classics: injectable drugs and their purposes”, as well as “From indications to essence: everything you need to know about botulinum toxin”.
In Case Hall, where speakers were limited to a strict timing of 10 minutes, during which they had to present their own clinical case, the topics of the sessions were as follows: “Facial asymmetry: causes of pathological disorders and methods for their correction”, “Harmonious facial proportions, or What to do with volume?”, “Atypical correction zones”, as well as the session “My worst case”, in which speakers shared the most severe cases of complications.
In the Hi-Tech Hall, which set a course to cover all topics of hardware cosmetology, the following topics were considered: “Hardware cosmetology: methods and possibilities”, “Laser medicine: where, how and why?”, “Modern hardware cosmetology: technologies of rejuvenation and sculpting” , as well as “Hardware cosmetology marketing”, where speakers talked about marketing approaches, pricing and new ways of competing for patients.
In addition to theoretical presentations in the Hi-Tech Hall, there was a test drive area at S Congress, where each participant could test the operation of the presented devices for hardware cosmetology in order to correctly choose the vector of their further development, assessing the capabilities of each method.
For the first time, a congress of this level opened its doors to students and interns, so that young professionals could already develop the necessary skills for successful entry into the profession. Student Hall worked on the following sessions: “Algorithm for successful entry into the profession, or Startup in aesthetic medicine: where to start a career?”, “Anatomy and danger zones in the practice of an aesthetic medicine doctor,” “How I do it and how it works. Methods and preparations, cost and income. Cases”, and in the last session, “The Social Component of Aesthetic Medicine”, Viktor Shavlak and Alexander Turkevich spoke about the aesthetic side of functional disorders and transgender patients at an appointment with a doctor of aesthetic medicine.
After the end of the scientific program, the organizers invited all partners and speakers to the fine dining restaurant COIN for a gala dinner dedicated to the opening of the S Congress, where the “Key to Secrets” award ceremony was held for the first time. Secret group administrators. Doctors Only selected 15 laureates from among the most active members of the closed community, for whom colleagues could vote for 5 days. As a result, three finalists were identified who received the “Key to Secrets” figurine, as well as wonderful gifts from the partners of the congress.
Third place was taken by Elena Broy, who received as a gift training in Elena Razumovskaya’s author’s course “Functional botulinum therapy in the practice of a cosmetologist. From correcting wrinkles to managing the patient’s emotional status.”
Second place was taken by Elena Churkina, who received a trip to the IMCAS congress as a gift from MedHome, which will be held January 30 – February 1, 2020 in Paris.
The first place was taken by Olga Khmelnitskaya, who received the most votes from her colleagues in the closed community and received as a gift from Skin Technology the right to participate in the dissection cadaver course in Budapest, which will be held from November 30 to December 1.
In addition to gifts from partners, all laureates received an invitation to S Congress 2020, and the laureates present at the site (there were three of them) also received an invitation to the 5-Continent-Congress in Barcelona and a set of cosmetics from the premium sponsor of the event, FloSal.
The second day of the congress in Case Hall opened with clinical cases in sessions: “Skin: don’t forget about quality. What is anti-aging?”, “Dermatological pathologies in aesthetic medicine (dyschromia, scars, acne, neoplasms, trichology”, “Tandem “surgeon + cosmetologist”. Possibilities of secondary correction”), as well as the session “Safety First”, in which Alexander Turkevich, Alisa Sharova and Elena Razumovskaya spoke from the height of experience about such an important component of medical practice.
In the Workshop Hall, the working day opened with the session “Innovative injection drugs and methods of their administration to solve various aesthetic problems”, and continued with the sessions “Current methods of volumetric modeling” and “Non-surgical methods of rejuvenation”.
In the Business Hall, all reports were devoted to the knowledge that is necessary for a successful doctor along with professional skills. The working day of the hall consisted of the following sessions: “Protection of the doctor, clinic and patient. What you need to know and why you need to do it”, “A brand named “I””, “Psychology and communication”. In the last session, “Digitalization: follow trends or die,” Inna Rotar and Alex Mehler spoke about a systematic approach to the development of healthcare based on the use of artificial intelligence and biotechnology.
In the Open Education Hall, admission to which was free not only for participants who purchased Standard and Standard Plus tickets, but also for those who came with an invitation card to the congress exhibition area, sessions “Features of working with different zones, combinations of various drugs in one procedure”, “Safe methods of using new generation drugs”, as well as “Optimal protocols for the treatment of aesthetic defects and skin aging”.
With this, the work of the first S Congress was completed, leaving behind a pleasant aftertaste, excellent mood and positive atmosphere thanks to the time spent among friends and like-minded people, which demonstrates the successful de-virtualization of the Secret community members. Doctors Only.
