Oxygen therapy: the therapeutic potential of the procedure
Oxygen and ozone in the cosmetologist's office

Oxygen therapy is a technique in cosmetology, also known as “oxygen mesotherapy” and “needle-free mesotherapy”. However, how justified is the use of the word “mesotherapy” in describing this technique? What is it? What are the indications and contraindications for its use? What is the essence of the method described? We answer these and other questions in the article.
When describing the oxygen mesotherapy technique, it is first necessary to understand how appropriate the use of the word “mesotherapy” is in this case. After all, mesotherapy is an injection method of intradermal administration of substances that are unable to overcome the stratum corneum on their own.
The active ingredients enter the deep layers of the skin through the puncture made by the needle and are delivered directly to the target areas.
Unlike traditional mesotherapy drug administration, the principle of oxygen mesotherapy is to point-stimulate the skin with a high-speed jet of pure oxygen ("oxygen needle"). The oxygen jet does not violate the integrity of the stratum corneum, so the problem of targeted delivery of substances is solved in a fundamentally different way from the injection method.
