Involutional changes in the skin of the neck: modern methods of correction
Peculiarities and difficulties in work
The article provides recommendations for choosing methods for correcting age-related changes in the skin of the neck, taking into account the study of the patterns of various types of aging of all skin tissues in this area in women aged 40-50
Correction of age-related changes in the skin of the neck occupies an important place in modern cosmetology. The appearance of the neck, like other open areas of the skin, plays an important role in the patient's self-perception and individual self-esteem.
The skin of the neck is thin and delicate, so age-related changes affect it in the first place. Over time, the turgor and elasticity of the skin decrease, the tone of the neck muscles increases, the bone structures of the lower jaw and its connective apparatus atrophy, and the fat bags in the "bullets" zone drop. All these mechanisms lead to sagging of the cervical-chin angle and worsen the contours of the lower jaw.
Due to a number of peculiarities and difficulties in the work, the neck is one of the most difficult areas for aesthetic correction. Some methods for correcting age-related changes in the skin of the neck area are not used due to the location of vital organs in the specified area, while others give an unstable or unexpressed aesthetic result.
Among the anatomical features of the neck, the following can be distinguished:
- the skin is tightly bonded to the underlying tissues, the number of sebaceous glands is smaller compared to facial tissues;
- subcutaneous adipose tissue is thin, hypotrophied, often hypertrophied in the submental and mental regions;
- vessels (main) are located close to the skin, while the microcirculation network is insufficiently branched;
- hypertonic muscle from a young age.
