Invasive or non-invasive? What is the basis of the choice of the method of correction of age changes
Anti-aging correction is not only about procedures
The concept of non-invasive procedures implies a gentle effect on the skin. Today, many patients are convinced that only invasive procedures can be effective in solving age-related aesthetic problems. But is it really?
The fact of invasion in itself, of course, does not reveal a rejuvenating effect. Especially when it concerns age-related changes, which are a complex process that covers, say, not only the epidermis, but also the dermis, subcutaneous tissue, muscle framework, etc. On the other hand, aggressive invasive intervention automatically increases the risk of unwanted side effects and complications, which usually limits their use.
In my opinion, it is appropriate to classify anti-aging correction procedures not according to the criterion of invasiveness or non-invasiveness, but according to local or general impact, high or low stress.
In antiaging correction, it is most appropriate to combine injectable methods with non-injectable ones. The field of application of injections is local correction of wrinkles and folds. The field of activity for non-injectable methods is general stimulation, protection, hydration and repair.
