Increased sweating: modern methods of correction
Possibilities of therapy of local forms of hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is a common disease that reduces the quality of life. Depending on the type and severity of the disease, its treatment methods can be different - the most common are the application of antiperspirants, botulinum therapy, curettage, etc.
Antiperspirants: used mainly for the treatment of local hyperhidrosis, the active component is: aluminum chlorides (20%), aluminum hydrochlorides (15%) or aluminum chloride hexahydrate (20%), formagel (3.7% formaldehyde). The effect is based on coagulation of the apical part of the terminal ducts of the sweat glands.
Iontophoresis with tap water is most often recommended for the treatment of palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis. Procedures are carried out three times a week, the duration is up to 10 minutes.
Systemic therapy is used only for the treatment of generalized forms. Subcutaneous curettage is one of the methods of surgical removal of hyperactive sweat glands, which is performed to treat axillary hyperhidrosis.
Intradermal injections of botulinum toxin type A are one of the most popular and effective methods of treating local forms of hyperhidrosis. This method is characterized by a high degree of patient satisfaction with the results of therapy.
